Experience description:

I laid down to go to sleep. But as I had a painful spine at the time, I was concentrating on letting go of the tension.  I was feeling my pulse starting from my heart down my body and legs then up my body and arms to my head. I've had out of body experiences quite a few times before, always just before sleeping.

This time I was dragged directly upwards very rapidly but it was different as I didn't end up somewhere instantaneously. I was flying up very fast like through a long pitch black tunnel, it lasted a long time and I was getting worried...then I seen a distant light. I eventually reached the Light, this time without any imaginary body, I felt like I was a single point of existence and could see in all directions. There was nothing to see as it was an eternal unfathomable soft white light. I could access information about whatever came to mind with pure knowledge  flowing back to me. An incredible feeling of Bliss which is the only word besides pure love to describe it. I didn't want to leave and thought I don't need or want anything! Just be exist in that Blissful state.

I wondered if I was meant to meet someone there and why I was there...then thought maybe I shouldn't be there yet...

Instantly when I doubted myself I was thrown back to my body twice as fast. I think I almost bounced off the bed when returning.

So I've learned to never have fear and don't doubt myself!

Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?      No     

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words?          No     

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event? No     

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?    Totally conscious the whole time. Definitely  Alert.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?  No

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?   Yes    This time no form, no body. Only a single point of view from my eyes and consciousness.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?          Fear. Then pure Love.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?         No

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?         No     

Did you see a light?        Yes    The Light at the end of the tunnel until I entered the light

Did you meet or see any other beings?         No     

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?         Uncertain    

Not this time  but I have tried to open a door once until realizing I couldn't so just flew through it instead.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No     

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different? Yes    I could only see. No sounds/smell/taste/touch of course as I didn't have a body.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?  Yes    I was very very far from this world or any other dimension as usually when I left my body I would instantly be somewhere else...this time it took a very long time to get there.

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?         Yes    As I described I had an enormous amount of knowledge flowing to me about anything I imagined. Universal order - I would say I was outside of this universe! I think I was in the presence of God.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?           No     

Did you become aware of future events?      No     

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?          Yes    It was not my decision. As stated i was thrown back.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?      Uncertain     Many years later- I can see animals and creatures in photos of nature.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?     Yes    I started on my search for God and the Truth.

I wasn't so afraid of dying anymore.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?   I'm more confident and I study other people to see if they are fake or not. I am still searching the truth but believe in my understanding of religion through experience.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience? Uncertain     Yes...I grew up fast!

Have you shared this experience with others?       Yes          They seemed very interested. Some did not believe me but most did.

What emotions did you experience following your experience? Calmness. Less fear, more confidence.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?          Being in the presence of God. As there is no other explanation of where I could have gone.
