I awoke at approx 1 am to the sight of a beautiful and fairly large area of light in the corner of my bedroom. It was so bright, and yet I was able to look into it without hurting or squinting my eyes, and I could see that the light was running into the shape of a tunnel. I wasn't afraid and immediately began to smile because I knew instinctively that this light was of goodness and it made me feel so lovely. I was unable to move, and then felt myself being picked up so gently and lovingly and carried into the light. I could see myself from above lying on the bed still wearing a lovely smile, and then I heard a voice. Even though I understood what it said, it was just to beautiful in its tone to be human. The voice said to me, "Your my child and I love you" and then I felt a little quick kiss which I knew was to my spirit, I knew that in the light I was of spirit, and immediately after this I was carried back to my body....

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? No      

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No      

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           I felt fully aware of what I was seeing and feeling and remember everything about this wonderful event..

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   I was fully awake and conscious throughout the situation..

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes     I knew that it was my spirit that was carried into the light and could see my earthly body down below. One minute I was on the bed and the next in the light...

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            The feelings were as beautiful as the experience. They were of pure and perfect goodness..

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           The only sound I heard was that of the beautiful voice which had no male or female tone. It was so pure and perfect...

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?            Yes     I knew that I wasn't being taken to Heaven because for some reason I knew that I hadn't died, even though I could see the tunnel. I was in the heart of the light and even though I couldn't see anyone I knew who it was holding me and loving me in that way.....

Did you see a light?           Yes     A beautiful Light..

Did you meet or see any other beings?           No      

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? No      

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes     I wrote a lovely poem immediately after my experience. I then sent it to a minister of a church who I didn't really know personally. I just knew that he was a lovely Christian, a well respected man. He verified my experience because he too had recently had a similar experience and had been taken into a light. The same words were spoken to him. He has since passed away...

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          Yes     I knew that someone was holding my spirit so gently and sweetly, just like I hold my precious grandchildren with love. I couldn't smell anything...

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes     It all seemed to happen very quickly. I didn't want it to end..

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes     I know that I am very blessed to have received such a wonderful experience and I didn't feel afraid...

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             No      

Did you become aware of future events?       No      

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       No      

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?   Uncertain      I have always known that I am different in my thoughts and ways. I am very sweet and caring and have had the pleasure to do many kind and wonderful things with Gods guidance.....

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   No      

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I always believed that God has been there, but certainly after this experience I definitely know that he is...
