Steve C's Experience
|
Experience description:
I listened to Dr. Long on Coast to Coast last night (1/25/10) and
would like to share my experience and have him help me understand this, since it
made no sense to me.
Was
the kind of experience difficult to express in words?
Yes I can explain what happened (in #3) but making sense of it is what is
difficult, and I'd very much appreciate Dr. Long to contact me to possibly
explain this, or help me make sense of it.
At
the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?
No
At
what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness
and alertness?
Nothing was a higher level of consciousness, during the life review, I
re-experienced episodes in my life exactly as they were.
How
did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience
compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?
Normal consciousness and alertness
Nothing was a higher level of consciousness, during the life review,
I re-experienced episodes in my life exactly as they were.
Did
your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect,
such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of
solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?
No
Did
your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any
aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness,
etc.)?
No The swooshing sound at the end was very vivid, I can recall
that.
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
Yes
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
None -- it was just reliving during the life review, perhaps the
emotions were reflected at the time, but there was no extra emotions.
Did
you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?
Yes It was a light tunnel directly above me that I ascended, and as I went
up I had the life review.
Did
you see a light?
Yes See above
Did
you meet or see any other beings?
No I may have but don't remember, it seems like after it was over my
memory of the experience was largely wiped.
Did
you experience a review of past events in your life?
Yes See above. I had the life review, in which I re-experienced significant
events of my past, such as places I had lived, relationships I had, scenarios
(such as a school I had attended or some repeated or habitual things I used to
do, that were significant). As they happened, it was a perfect recall, but
after I went back to my body, I instantly forgot the details. Very strange,
because I know some of them were very interesting things that I had long
forgotten.
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
No All the life review scenarios were things that happened to me before,
so they were just things that had happened already to me.
Did
you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or
dimensions?
No
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
Yes The life experiences were many and pretty deliberate, but I know the
entire thing happened within seconds -- I was sitting next to my brother, at a
full Pepsi Center, and if something had happened to me while I was out of my
body, people would have noticed fast.
Did
you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?
Uncertain It's odd that this happened, and that I can't recall what
happened after the review, if anything, before I returned to my body. I can't
imagine if this had a purpose, and if so what.
Did
you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?
Uncertain
Did
you become aware of future events?
No
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
you did not have prior to the experience?
No
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes I shared this with a friend who was a doctor, and had no insight, and my
mom last Thanksgiving, and she has had some paranormal experiences. I'm really
hoping that by sharing this with Dr. Long, he can help me understand or put some
context behind this.
Did
you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?
No
How
did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it
happened:
Experience was definitely real Since the 3 years that this has happened, my
view of it hasn't changed -- it's so strange and unexplainable I can't come up
with an answer myself, especially since much of it was wiped from my memory
immediately after it happened.
Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or
significant to you?
Remembering significant events of my early childhood that I had long forgotten.
How
do you currently view the reality of your experience:
Experience was definitely real See above
Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your
experience?
No
Have your religious beliefs/practices changed specifically as a result of your
experience?
No
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No I haven't and don't take any medications nor substances.
Is
there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?
Dr.
Long, please contact me after reading this and help me understand this! Why
would this happen with seemingly no cause, purpose, or result?
Did
the questions asked and information you provided so far accurately and
comprehensively describe your experience?
Uncertain This is my account but again, why it happened, if anything
happened after the review that sent me back, makes no sense to me.
