EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION 2903 prophetic Dream
I had a dream Thursday night where I found myself in an old Victorian mansion lying on the floor in front of a burning fire place. There were several people in the room walking around and talking to each other. I didn't know anyone. This woman walks by me that I thought I recognized. She turns around and looks at me and it was my mother. She looked really good. I said, "Mom!" and she said, "That's right, it's me and I've come to visit with you!" We talked for quite a while and I have no memory of what we talked about. Then she says, "I know you think this is just a dream, but I'm really here. To prove to you that it's really me, a famous female actor is going to die in a couple of days and then you will know I was really here." When I woke up I kept focusing on when she said a female "actor" and not "actress" as this was the kind of grammatical error she was not prone to make. I got the impression that she meant and male and a female actor, but it was only an impression. I told my coworker the dream as soon as I got to work on Friday morning so we would be on the look out for famous actors deaths, but in reality, what were the odds of that! Image my surprise when 2 days later Peter O'Toole and Joan Fontaine both die - an actor and actress! But it wasn't only that. Having such a dream I of course would tell my brother about it which my mom would have known. Peter O'Toole was launched to fame in the movie Lawrence of Arabia and it was his greatest role. Imagine my amusement when I told my brother Lawrence about the dream. He was born the year Lawrence of Arabia came out and my mom was so enamored of Peter O'Toole's character that she named my brother after him.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION 2902 Lucid Dream
Its my usual custom to wake up about 15 minutes early before my alarm goes off and do a short meditation every day. I am able to do this because I have really bad insomnia and I dont sleep well so I am constantly waking up during the night. The odds are on most mornings I wake up just before my alarm goes off.
I didnt sleep well last night as usual and had a series of bad dreams. I woke up at 5:30 (my alarm was set for 6:00) and I thought that I had 15 more minutes to just lie there and maybe go back to sleep before I did my meditation. As luck would have it, I did go back to sleep, but it was a very lucid dream. I knew I was dreaming and thought to myself, Oh boy! I have 15 minutes to do whatever I want before my meditation! In the dream I was walking around some kind of courtyard fully aware that I was dreaming and therefore able to fantasize or do anything I wanted. This happens to me occasionally and its a very difficult state to maintain, but Im usually able to pull it off without waking up.
I decided to turn this experience over to a consciousness greater than mine and I said out loud, OK, somebody show me something that I wouldnt think of or expect! Instantly I found myself standing at the boarder of a long and narrow cemetery. The headstones were quite beautiful and instead of grass, the ground was covered with white gravel. It kind of looked like headstones sticking out of snow. The next thing I know there are all these people coming towards me and they were increasing in number. I couldnt understand where they were coming from and then I noticed they were popping out of the ground! They werent zombies or anything like that, just ordinary people popping out of what I assumed to be their graves. They were all coming towards me and many of them were talking to each other as if they knew each other.
The first person to reach me was this old black woman, kind of hunched over and she had vitiligo (a skin condition that leaves you with splotches of no pigmentation). She said, Oh Steve, Im so glad to finally meet you! We are so glad you finally came! I was surprised and confused and I asked her why. She said, Its time for you to set the table. I had no idea what she was talking about and I told her I didnt want to set any table. She said, Oh honey, you have to, its your time. I said, I dont want to. What if I dont do it right? What if I make a mistake? (Now I didnt know what I was talking about!) Then this white girl about 25 years old starts telling me about mistakes she has made (I cant remember any of them) and she went on and on and I think her point was that mistakes didnt matter, it was the doing that mattered. Oddly enough, after each mistake she had made, she said, And then I stumbled. I found that statement very curious and I asked her what she meant when she kept saying she stumbled. She said, I died. I guess her mistakes were either fatal or her mistakes were life long and she never corrected them during that lifetime.
I decided I didnt want any of this so I walked away. This older (very large) black woman who for all the world looked like aunt Jemima followed me and put her arm around my arm and she said, You know Steve this is what you have to do. You have to set the table and make the meal! I said, I dont want to! I dont even know how to cook! She said, Yes you do baby, but that doesnt really matter. Most of these folks dont even know how to eat. Im afraid you will have to teach them that too.
Then my alarm went off

I was a nurses aid in a hospital working in geriatrics. Mr. R. my patient, was 85 years old with left sided paralysis. Along with the stroke that paralyzed him went the part of his brain that controls social inhibition. He was extremely foul mouthed and hyper sexual. Because of this, he was always assigned to me as none of the female staff wanted to be around him. He required a great deal of physical care.
One night I had a dream where I was standing at the foot of his bed, actually about 1 foot above the foot of his bed. I reached out to him with both my hands and he took them and I gave him a gentle pull. As he moved forward in my direction while I was pulling him, I felt kind of a "whoosh". It was more than just a pull, it was like his essence was coming with him - then he pulled back and the same "whoosh" feeling happened, only in reverse. This happened 3 times with us pulling back and forth. The dream ended there. I came into work the next morning and noticed he wasn't in his bed. I was informed that he was in the ICU (intensive care unit). They had had a heart attack. They coded him 3 times (coded is when the heart stops and they have to shock them to bring them back). His family didn't want to let him go so they would not sign a "do not resuscitate" order. They made 3 attempts to bring him back and he and I did 3 "pulls" in our tug of war in my dream! He survived.
About a month later, I had another dream where I was at work and I was making my patient rounds. In the dream, Mr. R was not in his bed. I went to the charge nurse and reported this. She told me to go look for him! So down the hallway to his room I go and the next thing I know, the hallway changes into this beautiful forest. I then see off in the distance a light coming towards me. As it got closer, it became a form, then the body or Mr. R! He looked great! White suit and everything and WALKING! I remember my first thought was annoyance as I was thinking of all the times I cleaned him up when he was able to walk all along. He came up me and shook my hand (with his paralyzed arm!) and said, "I just wanted to thank you for taking such good care of me. Please tell my wife how much I love her and I am sorry I was such a burden". Then he turns around and leaves. When I went to work the next morning, I was prepared to tell him that I had a dream about him, only to find out that he had passed away in the night.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
When I was 4 and
5 years old we lived in a house that we rented from my mothers parents in Los
Angeles. The first time I saw the shadow man was when he came out of the closet
(through the closed door no less!) in my bedroom. It was a man and he was quite
3 dimensional, but he had no features - just empty blackness. I remember being
terrified and screaming. This would usually bring my parents running. I was (or
so I'm told) fairly articulate for a 4 year old and I was able to tell my
parents exactly what I saw. They, of course, told me I was having a bad dream as
this first experience was at night.
Over the next 2 years this happened rather frequently and it happened night AND day. Usually it was only one shadow person, but sometimes it was more than one. Other than the sheer terror I felt when I saw them, I don't remember them ever having an interest in me or even coming in my direction. They would just go walking through the room, walking VERY slowly. I remember wishing they would move faster! They would usually come through the closet door or through the walls and exit the room through one of the walls. They were not ON the wall like a shadow. They moved through the room like a person. I remember my mom asking me if I knew what or who they were as it became a fight to get me to go to bed at night or even be in my room alone. I told her they were called Lolo's (lowlow's) God knows where I got that name from! We moved from that house and I never saw them again.
One day a few years ago I was telling my Aunt (my mothers sister) about these shadow men as she apparently had never heard the stories about my experiences when I was little. It turns out she lived in the same room when she was little and she saw them too! She never mentioned it to anyone, but they came out of the closet as well. Oddly enough, she said she remembered Abraham Lincoln living in her closet (with the black coat and black top hat) but she said when I told her of my experience she remembered him to be just a shadow. Her parents were not as understanding as mine so she kept it to herself and she says she remembers she named him Abraham Lincoln so she wouldn't be so scared.
50 years later, my
mother had cancer and she was in hospice care in my living room in a hospital
bed. She was hallucinating badly until I started listening to her
hallucinations and they made sense. She was saying things like, Look! My dads
standing over there! I would ask her what he wanted and she would say, Hes
standing next to this tunnel and he wants me to go into it with him, but I dont
think I want too. She started talking and laughing with someone that I couldnt
see a lot. I asked her who she was talking to and she would say, Why, that
little boy, cant you see him? She did this for days and I assured her that she
was the only person who could see him. One day, a couple of weeks before she
passed, she was chatting away with this unseen child. I asked her to ask him
what his name was. She turned her head away from me and said in the direction of
the little boy, Whats your name? I asked her if he answered her and she said,
He said his name is Lolo. I broke out in a sweat
