Experience description:

I was putting my daughter to bed and slept next to her in her bunk bed. I remember the feeling of my body leaving the bed and at first I tried to hold on to the bed because it was scary and I had no control. Then i let go and felt my body leave the bed, the room through the window and I was up in the air. I kept rising higher and higher. I am unsure whether I was making myself fly or I was flying through an external force. I remember praising God saying Holy is the Lord, Holy is Your name, with my arms outstretched in worship as I flew. I could definitely feel the presence of God. I knew that he was ultimately in control and in charge. The world below did not matter and it felt like I was going faster and faster. There was freedom and other things were praising Him too. I then saw a pinkish orange cluster of stars and I knew I wanted to go there to praise God more. I could sense that that was the centre of the praise and it looked very beautiful. As I was going I ended up above the clouds and it was very quiet. Suddenly everything was still. Then I saw that it was over and I just woke up and suddenly I was back in the bed.

Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?      No     

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words?          Yes    I am unsure whether I was making myself fly or I was flying from an external force. I remember praising God saying Holy is the lord with my arms outstretched as I flew.


At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event? No     

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?    Sleeping

            Was the experience dream like in any way?  It felt very real but I was asleep

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?   Yes    It was just me in the air floating

What emotions did you feel during the experience?          Joy and peace

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?         I don't recall

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?         Yes    Heavenly hosts

Did you see a light?        Yes    Pink-orange-ish cluster of stars and light

Did you meet or see any other beings?         Uncertain     I saw stars but could have been angels

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?         No     

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No     

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different? No      Did you have any sense of altered space or time?     Yes    Everything stood still

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?         Yes    Jesus Christ is Lord. Holy, Holy Holy. Blessed is Your name. God is in control. God is love. God loves me.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?           Yes    I crossed the earth to the other side of clouds. When I got there it was quiet and I stopped going up.

Did you become aware of future events?      No     

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?          Uncertain     I was aware that it was over. I felt neutral that it was time up.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?      No     

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?     No     

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?   As soon as  verbalized it, I felt the assurance of God.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience? No     

Have you shared this experience with others?       Yes          They were excited and happy to hear it. They believed it. Encouraged that God is with me and I am close to him.

What emotions did you experience following your experience? Peace. A little freaked out. Grateful to be given the opportunity to experience such.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?          Best part was assurance of God's ultimate reign and power. Knowing that I am close to him.  Worst part was above the clouds, not being able to reach the pink orange place.
