Experience description:

I was awake in bed, just lying on my  back, when I felt my body vibrate and this increased  sort of like a humming through my body , it intensified  until I felt some part of me lift up and leave my body behind.  This part of me kept  rising and went way up through the  roof  and up into  the black sky. I could see the stars and was in awe of what was happening, thinking how beautiful they looked.  I looked back over my shoulder and could make out the roof of the house with a hazy hole in the middle, I could feel the wind around me as I was accelerating towards the stars and began to feel afraid. I was enjoying the experience but  was afraid that if I didn't go back I would never get back to my body and with that I descended back quickly into my body which continued to hum for a while. I went to sleep but the next morning could remember it all very vividly and recount it to my friends who laughed. All the next day my skin was tingly like electricity was going through it and I felt really good and positive.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           I was conscious but calm

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   not really it felt very real even though I was relaxed.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes    

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            I felt relaxed and anticipated what was happening , until I became panicky that I wouldn't get back to my body and became afraid.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           no noise at all

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?    No response      just the black sky and the stars

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       Uncertain      I think that when I became  worried  about being able to return to my body the decision to return was made.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         Uncertain      people are drawn to me for some reason. freaky coincidences  happen to me all the time.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     I would have been skeptic had this not happened to me

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I am less concerned with  these things , I think it is fate that makes these things happen.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes     I feel I know now that there is a bigger picture.

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     some friends laughed, a couple  seemed to know what I was talking about.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  I felt happy relieved and  positive

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      the best was   experiencing  another dimension of life.  I the worst was wondering if it was a near death thing  and not  wanting to leave yet.
