Experience description:

I woke up in the middle of the night at @2:30am. I was wide awake with my two dogs nestled - one on each side of me. I began to think about my life and what changes I need to make to be happier and make my husband happier. I made a list of five things to focus on. Then I was lying on my back completely still and I knew something was going to happen. I thought, OK you want to show me something.

At that moment, the room blurred and I began floating upwards toward the ceiling. I was slowly spinning around and looking for what they wanted me to see. It was dark and saw something like a white spark and then something like an old majestic fabric gold with gold thread. Then I saw a black cloaked figure. As I continued to spin, I came around again and it was still there. It revealed its skeleton face which seemed to change from one face to a different face. I felt uneasy and as I spun away I said Praise the Lord three times and thought put me back. I was then back and to my surprise had not even moved. The dogs were nestled in the same spots. I looked at the clock 5:13am. I fell back asleep at @7am. The next morning I still could not figure what it all meant except May 13th is my father's birthday.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           Very alert and conscious.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   Not really.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes

I ws just floating and slowly spinning.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Curious then uneasy.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           No

Did you see a light?           Yes, Just a quick white sparkle.

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes

Figure in black cloak - apparently a skeleton. Did not know. Seemed like face of skeleton changed to other skeleton faces.

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes

I thought someone or something wanted to show me something. I felt priviledge for a little while to be shown this other dimension even though I do not understand fully yet.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             No

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       Yes

I was not exactly scared but uneasy and thought I should pray in case this was going to be a bad experience. So I said Praise the lord three times.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Uncertain

Not yet. I seem more accepting of my circumstances though.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I told my husband and father about it. They just smiled. I do not think they know what to think. But my father did bring it up to my husband when I was not around. Although they both love me, I guess they think I am a little wacky.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  Amazement, confusion.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      I felt content to float and separate. However, I did not feel comfortable when I saw the skeleton.
