Experience description:
I awakened in June, 2009. After that
time, I engaged heavily in spiritual activities of all kinds, including past
life regressions, meditations, oneness blessings, life between life regressions,
channeling, etc. In December of
2011, I attended an event called a Remembering, in which we were to remember our
true selves. There were around a
dozen or so attendees, most of whom I did not know.
We spent two hours sitting knee to knee, hand in hand, staring into each
others' eyes. We went around the
room and did this with each person there.
By the end of the event, I felt giddy and giggly and very light headed.
The next morning, when I awoke, the world looked entirely different.
I could see in everything, everywhere I looked, that it was all made of a
sparkly, shining kind of light.
Everything. It all was made of this
same fabric of light. I could see
the light everywhere I looked in everything I saw.
I felt elevated and giddy and even though I could see everything was
connected and all made of this same sparkling light, I felt a kind of
detachment, as though I was not of this world.
I also could hear what sounded like a staticky AM radio dial, with voices
faintly coming across. I could hear
many voices as though at a party. I
also received messages that looked like bumper sticker slogans.
These messages flashed in my head.
The messages were sayings such as 'ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE' AND 'YES!'
I also saw a vision of the future in which I saw how I die and how old I
am when I die. My way of thinking
was very different during the period in which this was happening.
I am a government official and when I made decisions about how to handle
violations, I was much more lenient and kind and tolerant of people's tardiness
in missing deadlines. I allowed them
as much time as they wanted to address their violations.
My thoughts at work were centered on what the kindest solution was to the
issues that came up. My energetic
vibration was much higher than normal, to the point that I really could not
sleep. I would close my eyes for
maybe two hours a night, but even so, my eyelids fluttered the whole time and I
felt as though I wasn't really sleeping.
This went on for over two weeks.
It all came to a sudden stop.
I was going to have surgery and would be confined to bed for some time
afterward, so I went to the mall to buy pajamas.
By the time I got home from the mall, I noticed that my vibration and my
consciousness and level of awareness were lowering, and by the next morning
everything was normal again. I
couldn't see the light in things anymore and I finally could sleep.
At the time
of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?
No
Was the experience
difficult to express in words?
Yes
I don't think there are words to describe
adequately what this light looked like.
Also, I don't know how words can really capture the giddy, 'high' feeling
I felt.
At what time during the
experience were you at your highest level of
consciousness and alertness? The
entire time. I was in this elevated
state for over two weeks and slept virtually not at all during that time.
How did your highest level
of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal
everyday consciousness and alertness?
More
consciousness and alertness than normal
I could see that everything in the world
was made of a sparkling light. No
matter where I looked, I saw this light and saw that everything and everyone is
all made of this shiny, sparkling light.
I also could hear distant voices, many of them.
I could not make out what they were saying, however.
I received messages in the form of bumper stickers in my mind's eye.
I saw the future, becoming aware of the details of my own death:
when, where and how. A person
I knew who had psychic vision saw me during this time and said I was shining.
Please
compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had
immediately prior to the time of the experience.
During the experience, everything I saw everywhere I looked appeared to be made
of a sparkling, shiny light.
Everything was made of this same light.
In my everyday vision, things look like what they are.
A tree is a tree. A dog is a
dog. Things do not look connected.
Things look solid and separate.
Please
compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had
immediately prior to the time of the experience.
During the experience it was as though I was always
hearing an AM radio dial that was distant.
I could hear a lot of distant voices as though there was a party but I
couldn't make out anything anyone was saying.
In my everyday hearing, I do not hear this.
I just hear what is going on around me in regular physical reality.
Did you see
or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your
consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?
No
What emotions did you feel
during the experience?
Giddiness, ecstatic joy, happiness, wonder.
At first, however, I thought I had lost my mind.
I went to a spiritual counselor who explained to me that I was having a
mystical experience.
Did you pass into or
through a tunnel?
No
Did you see an unearthly
light?
Yes
I saw that everything on earth is made of
light. I saw the light in
everything. It was a sparkly strange
light, unlike anything I have seen before or since.
Did
you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable
voice?
I heard a voice I could not identify
I heard a crowd of distant voices.
I could not make out what they were saying.
It sounded staticky, like a radio that is trying to pick up a distant
signal.
Did you encounter or
become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by
name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?
No
Did
you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?
No
Did
you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?
No
Did
you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?
A clearly mystical or unearthly realm
It wasn't that I
entered an unearthly realm, it was that the earthly realm became mystical and
unlike its normal self. It didn't
look like the earth I know. I was
all sparkly and seemed unreal.
Everything, everywhere I looked.
Did time seem
to speed up or slow down?
Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or
lost all meaning
Time seemed different,
almost irrelevant.
Did
you suddenly seem to understand everything?
No
Did you reach a boundary
or limiting physical structure?
No
Did
you come to a border or point of no return?
No
Did scenes from the
future come to you?
Scenes from my personal future
I saw my death: how I die and when I die and
where I die.
During
your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness
suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly
life (“life after death”)?

During
your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a
mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?
Yes
Everywhere I looked, everything I saw was
all made of a sparkly, shining light.
Everything. I saw this light
everywhere I looked. Every single
thing was made up of this same light.
I saw we all are and everything is made of this same fabric of sparkling,
shining light.

did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s
meaning or purpose?

What occurred during your
experience included:
Content that was entirely consistent with the
beliefs you had at the time of your experience
I had awakened a couple of years prior to this experience, so I had heard
the concept of oneness often, and on an intellectual level, I agreed with it.
This experience showed me the truth of the concept of oneness in physical
reality by showing me the actual energy that forms everything.
How accurately do you
remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around
the time of the experience?
I remember the experience more accurately than
other life events that occurred around the time of th
It was such a remarkable experience that I remember it well.
It was all so unusual and amazing that it is easy to remember.
I was in a state of wonder.
Discuss any changes
that might have occurred in your life after your experience:
I am kinder, more understanding and more
compassionate. I try to remember
that the true reality behind all the appearance of separateness is that
everything is made of the fabric of light, which I think is the energy of God.
My
experience directly resulted in:
Large changes in my life
Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that
occurred as a result of the experience?
Yes
After the experience, it was much easier for me to focus on being kind and
compassionate.
Do you
have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that
you did not have before the experience?
Yes
I still sometimes hear voices that sound
like a radio trying to pick up a distant signal.
I also still sometimes get messages that look like bumper stickers in my
sleep. I also have experienced
episodes of clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, claircognizance and
clairalliance.
Are there one or several parts of your experience
that are especially meaningful or significant to you?
Words cannot describe what the world looked like when this light that is
the true fabric of everything was visible to me.
It was sparkling and shining and like everything in the whole world was
magical. I felt as though I was
living in a magical wonderland.
Have you ever shared this experience with others?
Yes
I shared it while it was happening with
people who were awakened. A
clairvoyant could see something different about my light.
She said I was shining brightly.
My spiritual counselor said I was having a mystical experience.
Did you have any knowledge
of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?
Yes
I had read a lot of NDE literature after I
first awakened. This experience I
had was not an NDE, so it was unrelated to NDEs.
What did you believe about
the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:
Experience was definitely real
My experience carried on for weeks, so
there was no mistaking the fact that it was real.
After it happened, even though I was glad to finally get some sleep, I
really wanted it to come back. I
wanted to see the world that way again.
I could see that everything really is connected.
I wish I could see that way again.
It was amazing.
What do you believe about
the reality of your experience at the current time:
Experience
was definitely real
As I said before, my experience lasted
over two weeks. I know it was real,
and I wish I could see the world that way again.
It was beautiful.
Have your relationships
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes
I am kinder, more considerate, much more
empathetic.
Have your religious
beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?
No
At
any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?
Yes
I had acupuncture and after the session, I
had a slight elevation of my awareness.
Nothing close to the experience I had had, but it was an elevation of
awareness different from my normal view of reality.
Is there anything else
that you would like to add about your experience?
I wish everyone could have a chance to see the world this way.
It really helped me to understand the connectedness of all things.
Did
the questions asked and information that you provided accurately and
comprehensively describe your experience?
Yes
Yes, I was able to provide all of the
basic details I remember.
