Rebekah's Experience
|
Experience description:
My junior year
of high school a fellow classmate (someone more of an acquaintance then a
friend) fell asleep at the wheel while driving home early one morning and died
at the age of 18 a month before graduating. This made me sad and nervous it hit
the school like a ton of bricks. It made me realize that teenagers aren't
invincible. This left me with fear every time my boyfriend would drive home
from my house at night, from then on I made him call me when he got home so I
would know he was ok.
One night about
a year later (my senior year) my boyfriend had graduated the year before and was
working odd hours he was tired leaving my house at night, and I still made him
call when he got home. He lived about a town away 30 miles separated by a 3 lane
highway. One night we were at my house and he stayed to watch the movie "The
Crow" it became our favorite movie we were much like the couple in the movie, to
this day, although sadly we are no longer together, we have never had a love as
strong or powerful I believe we are soulmates. This movie has a dark undertone
and deals with the occult. Anyway, we said our goodbyes and he got in his car,
I waved "call me when you get home!"
I reminded him
as usual. I said goodnight to my family and went up to my room, just like any
other night except, the weirdest thing happened, I was debating with myself
which t-shirt to wear I realized I was being stupid (no one was going to see me
what did I care??!!) I put my most comfortable t-shirt on and hoped into bed
with the phone next to me I shut out the light and laid awake waiting for my
lovers call.
Then suddenly I
sat up! I saw as if it were right in front of me his mothers red Chevy cavalier
swerve off the road out of control, I saw he was asleep! I violently shook him
screaming at him to wake up I had never been so frightened in all my life I saw
him look at me as if I were there in the car with him and all of a sudden it was
over I saw his car go back onto the road and continue down the highway. Then I
didn't see anything I was back in my room in the dark, all alone, I cried I had
an awful feeling and I waited and waited and he was late calling me until
Finally!! the phone rang and the first thing I heard on the other end of the
phone was "are you wearing your Club '55 t-shirt??" Then it all made sense, from
the t-shirt debate on-it was as if I knew something was going to happen and I
subconsciously prepared for its occurrence. I feel that I didn't only have an
out of body experience I also predicted that it was going to happen and
projected myself there to the sight of the occurrence. When driving with my
boyfriend to his house that weekend I was able to point out where it had
happened and he confirmed it.
