Experience description:

I was walking with my friend and their parents at a National Trust (a National Park basically for anyone living outside UK). We were walking by a river and as I was looking at the river I suddenly get a vision.

The vision:

The scene present itself as me drowning in the river. I felt the sensation of being dragged under and holding my breath. I knew there were people there at the edge of the river. I know for a fact one was my brother in that life and a girl also my age. The brother called for me panicked. I was called Charlie and I knew I was a boy in this life. I knew I didn’t pass from this. I also roughly knew that I lived on a farm.

After that I was stunned and immediately told my friend. They state that they’re getting the same vision and that they were the girl. We were unusually drawn to each other as one day I spot them on a bench and decided they needed a friend. Their parents dismissed this experience and I haven’t really bothered telling anyone of this till now.

To this day the experience catches me by surprise, but also explains aspect of me now as I identify with more androgynous gender identities. I never considered myself restricted to just being a girl and I’ve even considered calling myself Charlie. Not really due to my previous life, but it’s a nice name. Part of what catches me by surprise is that I’m not afraid of water, but I was rather cautious about water when I first started swimming. However at the time of the experience I was far to use to the water at that point and had started swimming competitively.
