Neil N's Experience
|
Experience description:
First of all there was a wind like sound, and it felt like I was sucked or
pulled out of my body. I heard unearthly music, I heard beings talking, my name
was called out. I was surrounded by darkness but unafraid. As I looked at my
hands and arms all I could see was stars or points of light. Throughout the
experience it felt like I was floating and being lead to my destination. And
finally I saw an indescribably bright light, which was radiating so much
unconditional love it was so hard to fathom that such love exist. And strangely
enough this place felt very familiar. As I continued to look at the light,
it became evident this was a being shinning with such brilliance. I felt drawn
to it, and it had both arms outstretched as if to embrace me. And just as I was
about to hug the being, I felt the same wind like sound and I was pulled back to
my body. I then awoke and cried uncontrollably for some time.
Any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Was
the kind of experience difficult to express in words?
Yes I tried my best to communicate to certain people my experience, but they
were for the most part in awe, or thought I was just crazy. I don't believe as
far as language is concerned, that such experiences are communicable. At best we
can just use metaphors to paint a picture of the indescribable.
At
the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening
event?
No
What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?
My
perception and the clarity I had was beyond that of a normal human.
Was the experience dream like in any way?
No,
no, and no. This was more real then my waking state.
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
Yes As I looked at my body there was none. But what I did see when I
attempted to move my hand and arms, was that my hands and arms were composed of
stars or points of light.
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
I
felt so much peace, joy, and unconditional love. Even now It's very hard
to relate the emotions, for they are so unearthly.
Did
you hear any unusual sounds or noises?
Yes
wind, music, and people speaking.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION:
Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar
religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or
amazing creatures?
No
Did
you see a light?
Yes My body at first when looked upon was made up of stars. And then the
being of light.
Did
you meet or see any other beings?
No Just the being of light and I want to add that I saw myself, I
believe as I really am for the first time in a long time.
Did
you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?
No
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
No
Did
you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they
different?
Yes The seeing was much sharper as well as the hearing.
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
Yes it felt like time didn't exist there.
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order
and/or purpose?
Yes We are not our bodies, we are not even human. We have been to earth many
of us many times, and we will continue to come back if we so desire. There
is no beginning or end to our being for we are all consciousness. Life is all
about the experience. And only love truly matters, for anything else is
illusion.
Did
you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?
No
Did
you become aware of future events?
No
Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the
body?
No
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the
experience that you did not have prior to the experience?
Yes I'm more aware of peoples feelings or intentions. I can use energy to
help others in a positive way.
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes I started out a Christian but prior to my OBE I started studying
philosophy and religion. And I pretty much knew there was a universal order.
After the experience I was certain that religion was a cultural and societal
thing, and that consciousness is everything. That being said I experienced
Christianity, studied Islam, dabbled in Judaism, Throw in some Hinduism, and
Buddhism and came to find out everything is one.
How
has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices?
Career choices?
I
appreciate people more. If I think I'm about to judge a person, I put myself in
their shoes and stop. I dropped my religion for some times now.
Has
your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes I rarely watch TV, I don't watch the evening news. I read more positive,
inspiring accounts on the true nature of reality. Because I have been there on
more than one occasion.
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes Awe or not believing a word of it.
What emotions did you experience following your experience?
I
always long to go there to see that being of light and to feel that love once
again.
What was the best and worst part of your experience?
There were none. It was all so fascinating.
Is
there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?
Besides NDEs, or SOBEs I believe deep states of meditation can bring many
to this state.
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
Yes I have had some success with astral travel.
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes but once again language gets in the way of really describing the
experience. But at best all we can do is paint a picture that doesn't even come
close to describing such wondrous events.
Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.
N
you guys pretty much covered it all.
