Experience description:

There was a rip tide or undertow. The four people standing next to me told to dig my feet into the sand. I tried to. I fell down and the waves came so fast and hard I could feel the pain of the water hitting me in my back. I feel the ocean pulling me deeper under its waters with its waves pounding me. I ask myself what do I do and instantly know drown. So I my farewell prayers to Christ and He responded relaxed. I took a deep breath closed my eyes and parted. Moments later the family members near me caught me by my hair and snatched me up from the water. and I ran to safety.

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   Yes  Drowning

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  No    

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?      When I felt water fill my lungs

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal   Daily you as just are .. in that moment I made peace with death.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   Yes   I hear the voice of Christ as my guidance.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   First it was panic then a calm peace and grace.  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No  

Did you see an unearthly light?   No  

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin
I heard the Lord.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   No  

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   Yes   The Lord himself spoke to me and saved me.

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No  

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning
Everything did happen all at once .. I only had seconds to understand how my life was ending.

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   No

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   No

Did you come to a border or point of no return?   I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will
I was all at peace with my death. I was happy to go. I was upset that I survived.

Did scenes from the future come to you?  No 

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes   It's ok and safe to experience death.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   The Lord told me I was safe in death. Yet he wanted me to live.

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   Yes   I was given the wisdom to remind calm when facing death. I don't understand why I lived.

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   My talked about God is love.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   We were on a family trip.

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   Yes   I need to know why God speared me after , He and I were at peace with my death.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?     Just the Lord coaching me to die peaceful then save me .

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  Years and no one seemed to think it mattered.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?   Yes   I feel more disconnected cause I feel no understands or connects to me.

Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?   Yes   I feel closer to the Lord.
