Experience description:

I was in a very lucid night of dreaming.  All of a sudden, I was absolutely STUNNED to encounter the African goddess OYA picking fruit on a tree.  I knew IMMEDIATELY that this was NOT a dream (even though I was in the dream state at the time).  I knew right away that OYA was identifying "herself" to me.  Prior to this, I had only peripherally had any intellectual knowledge of Oya, as two friends of mine are practitioners of Ifa (an African religion).  

She was holding a bowl of fruit in one arm.  I "knew" without even having to ask that the spirit of Oya is not actually one spirit but a collection of many, many entities who are very advanced and evolved.   Oya showed herself as a black woman who had the most amazing brilliant white, deep, "old" eyes that I have ever seen.  She was absolutely HUGE and very, very tall.  I could tell just by looking into her eyes that this was a very wise collection of not just one spirit, but many, many spirits, probably hundreds, who are fiercely powerful. She had on an orange robe and a white turban-type headdress.   

She had intense aura of colors around her.   Somehow, and this is the hard part to explain in words, but I absolutely knew that those colors around her body were "me."  In that sense, it was very very wonderful to know this, that I was included in this amazing being who was very kind and very old, and yet amazingly and extremely powerful.  I could feel the power available in her. 

Without me asking, she told me to "be ready for the children."   She was telling me telepathically that there are going to be children coming and that I specifically was to be ready for these children to teach them spiritual things and inform them of spiritual matters.  I was a bit confused, and I wanted to ask her a question, so I asked her if she meant my own children (of which I currently have none), or if she meant the children of the world.  She didn't really give a specific answer as she said "ALL OF THEM."  She also showed me frogs, and that the frog spirit is related to and "good" for children.  I was and still am somewhat confused as to what frogs have to do with children, but since that vision, whenever I sense or clairvoyantly see frogs, for me, I associate that with children (in my own symbolic dictionary & earthly understanding).

 Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?     No      

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes     The fact that the colors I saw around these entities were "me."

 At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No      

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           In the dream state, sleeping.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   Yes and no.  I knew immediately because of the quickness & powerful intensity of the message that it was a spiritual visitation, even while I was technically asleep and in the dream state.

 Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     No      

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Wonder, and total amazement that this powerful spiritual beings (Orisha) were appearing to talk to little old me.

 Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           No.

 LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?            Uncertain     

Did you see a light?       Yes, lights and amazing colors around this female spirit's body.

 Did you meet or see any other beings?           Uncertain     

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes            Yes, that children are coming and that I am to teach them about spirituality and work with them.

 Did you become aware of future events?       Yes     About part of my future life path.

 Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?   No       Always have been in touch with the psychic side, and no increase.

 Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     It's very, very affirming to be given certain visions or knowledge.

 How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       It strengthened my desire to teach, teach, teach about spirituality and spread the messages I receive and have received.   I have been reading others amazing experiences and I realized that I should definitely share my own.

 Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes     Makes me more certain of my own power and my own mission.

 Have you shared this experience with others?         No response            Only with 2 friends who would understand the power of such a vision.  One is an Ifa priest and the other is a spiritual practitioner/native medicine person.

 What emotions did you experience following your experience?  Amazement.  Just amazement and gratefulness.

 Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No
