Michael J's Experience
|
Experience description:
When I was 12 years of age I was playing in the street in my neighborhood when I
ran across the street without looking. I was struck by a car at was traveling at
a high speed. My recollection of the accident and the activities surrounding the
event remain vivid and they have throughout the years. During the moments
when I reflect upon it, I can remember the impact of the car and my body flying
through the air. The right side of my face hit the street and was dragged for a
number of feet until my body came to a halt . I subsequently had a scab on
the entire ride side of my body for months and for the next few years I had
traces of tar on my jaw line.
I
can still hear the voice of my friend repeatedly yelling, 'You stupid man, you
stupid man!' I can still hear the driver sit on the ground behind my body
crying and me apologizing telling him that it was my
fault. I can remember the trip to the hospital with my mother in the ambulance.
It
is at the hospital that has prompted we to communicate. Over the years I have
had recollections of me in the hospital operating /emergency room hovering over
and looking down on the physicians who were attending to me. This part of the
experience is not as vivid as the accident itself. I continue to wonder was I
having an out of body experience or is it a memory that I have conjured up as
the years have passed. I am a skeptic when it comes to Near Death Experiences
and possess a similar attitude to out of body experiences. There is a piece of
me that would like to get a better sense of what and where the truth is relative
to my experience.
