Experience description:

            all of a sudden I was wrapped up in bright light, I didn�t pass through the tunnel it was as if I was instantaneously enveloped in the light; though at the beginning there was a small dark edge as if I had crossed the tunnel at ultrasonic speed.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words?       Yes      a complete and total feeling of cosmic joy, out of the body

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No       

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?        Right at the beginning it was there, it didn�t step up.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?            More consciousness and alertness than normal           

Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?  Yes      extreme brightness

Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness, etc.)?
            No       

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?      Yes

What emotions did you feel during the experience?    Joy and total calmness

Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?  Yes      there was some brim and I was immediately within the light

Did you see a light?     Yes      much brighter than the sun, but also more vivid and also more �yellow�.

Did you meet or see any other beings?           No       

Did you experience a review of past events in your life?         No       

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?            No       

Did you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or dimensions?    No           

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?       Yes     there was only one absolute being and you didn�t have to worry about space and time because those categories were behind you

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?          Yes            a feeling of togetherness

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?       No       

Did you become aware of future events?         No           

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience you did not have prior to the experience?        No       

Have you shared this experience with others?            Yes      with a friend of mine, a psychologist, about one week after the experience

How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:            Experience was probably not real , I thought I was crazy!      

Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to you?            being in the light was absolutely calming and I wished I could stay there

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?       Afterwards I felt a severe depression as if the neurons had been exposed to � a high dose of radiation � and then had a feeling of exhaustion/emptiness.

Did the questions asked and information you provided so far accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?      Yes      the questions are pointed and precise, they eliminate those persons  who haven�t had true experiences and might �cheat�
