Mary S Experience
|
Experience description:
I was
driving a quad (four wheeler ATV, whatever you wish to call it) with my best
friend as a passenger when I was approaching an unmarked intersection. I learned
later that there was to be a stop sign there but it had been stolen. I
immediately left my body and the best way to describe it is that someone hit
pause and I was able to access three different scenarios. Should I slam on my
breaks, should I speed up or should I turn. I quickly calculated the
consequences of each one and then resumed my body and the current event and
proceeded to speed up and turn my wheels, I was hit slightly on the back by an
oncoming vehicle, and both my friend and I were okay. Later when I recalled the
moment in which I "paused" I remembered choosing which solution was best.
