Maria A's Experience
|
Experience description:
Father and
younger brother (3yrs) and sister (5yrs) went back to Azores to visit family 3
years after immigrating to U.S. - We couldn't afford to send the whole family
and to save money, they went by ship (combo freight and some passengers from
Boston Harbor. I was the oldest and caretaker and worried that my dad would not
watch or care for them appropriately or as attentively. After seeing them off at
the harbor, I was very worried and had the "desire" to join them before I went
to bed. I raised from my body - saw myself on the bed - and knew that I was
"out". Having had these experiences many times, I knew what I wanted to do. I
flew through the window (you can go trough tangibles) and started flying back to
the Azores. I experienced flight (I am very familiar and comfortable with
it)through the clouds and over the ocean... seeing the island, I immeditely knew
where to go. I "shot" down instantaneously to the house where they were staying.
I got there as my sibblings were waking. Upon seeing my godmother, I quickly
manifested a change of clothing to impress. As hard as I tried to communicate
with her, she could not see me or hear and continued to sip her tea. I was very
frustrated and sad. My focus suddenly changed to my sense of purpose - to check
on the kids. They were following my grandmother out through the back door. I was
instantaneously sucked up to the outside looking down onto the backyard as they
were exiting the house. I realized I no longer had my whole light-body with me.
I was only a pair of eyes in the sky watching. My little sister was groggy and
rubbing her eyes as she exited the door. She looked up and I felt like she saw
me (?)... She later thought she saw something in the sky... There was
a deep ditch in the backyard and my little brother slipped and as he was falling
into the ditch held onto my grandmother's skirt and pulled her down with him. My
eyes zoomed-in to the ditch and noticed that my little brother had scraped and
cut his elbow. I feeling a little anxious but knew he was going to be ok. At
this time, my mother saw me lying on the bed motionless but my eyes were wide
open - when I did not respond to her voice, she shook me out of the trance
state. I automatically and very excitedly started to report the incident in
detail - what they were wearing, doing, colors, the layout of the kitchen and
yard, the accident. etc... My mother automatically assumed I was dreaming. From
past OBEs, I knew it was real and started to get even more anxious when she
would not take me seriously. At this point, she pointed out to me that it had to
be a dream because it takes 3 days to get to the island and they only left last
night making it impossible for it to be real. The first morning they were there
however, (3 days later), my father called to check-in and reported what had
happened that morning. He described the whole incident as I had described it to
mother 3-days earlier... I knew from my mother's wide stare as she spoke on the
phone that I was right... it wasn't a dream. This spooked her very much and she
made me go to church on Sunday and pray. For me, it was life-altering because I
could definitely distinguish between dreams and OBEs (or combinations)and
confirmation that there is another state of being and time is not as we know it
even at the age of 12 - I knew it...

flying right throught the window to fly to my destination.
What emotions did you feel
during the experience?
Sense of purpose - happy -

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:
Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar
religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or
amazing creatures?
No Not in this experience
Did you see a light?
Yes Only when exiting
the body
Did you meet or see any other
beings? No
Only people I know...
Did you experiment while out
of the body or in another, altered state?
Yes
I had a desire to see my family
back in the Azores - I witnessed an event that I had to be there for and
witnessed it 3 days "before" it happened.
Did you observe or hear
anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be
verified later?
Yes Upon returning to the body, I recounted the whole experience to my
mother. She tried to assure me it was a dream. I knew it was not and the whole
event manifested three days later.
Did you notice how your 5
senses were working, and if so, how were they different?
Yes 1)vision can be
magnified (zooming effect). 2)hearing is not with the ears, it is sensed or
aborbed in the mind. 3) no touching sensation, your hands go through objects and
other people cannot feel you or hear you BUT some can "sense" your presence.
Did you have any sense of
altered space or time?
Yes Time: was in the future
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose?
Yes I knew
that I was going to experience something that I already knew about but had to
see it at this level to bring it back in current/physical memory. I was very
comfortable with the whole experience like it was very natural for me.
Did
you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?
No
Did
you become aware of future events?
Yes Yes -
very accurate to the detail...
Were
you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?
Yes
Yes - I was shaken back into my body by my mother. My mother noticed that my
eyes were wide open when she approached.
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
No
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes Because
I had shared the experience with others before it happened - I was not convicned
that my othe OBEs prior were not dreams.
How
has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices?
Career choices?
Because I have
had OBEs since childhood, there has been no real drastic changes. It's something
that I accept as normal and very interesting/different. I long to study and
experiment more but daily life and obligations come first. Religion has taken on
different meanings/interpretations for me.
Has
your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Uncertain
Again... not sure. Have been living with it since I was a toddler...
Have
you shared this experience with others?
Yes Ranging
- from amazement to disbelief.
What
emotions did you experience following your experience?
Many - but
after this particular experience, I had a "definite" knowingness that OBEs were
real and not dreams.
What
was the best and worst part of your experience?
The best part
was the experience itself, OB sensation, flying, freedom, manifestation, seeing
people I loved in a distant location, etc... the worst part was seeing someone
get hurt (not gravely) and having to come back.
Is
there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?
It is
very difficult to put the experience into words. There were many other
experiences but this one involved a prediction and the sharing of the experience
before it happened. It is the one moment that convinced me that these
experiences were not of mass/energy/space/time as we know.
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Not this particular experience
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Uncertain
Accuracy yes... comprehensively no - but close. One specific event does not
describe all of the different experiences and sensations. Each event, depending
on the level of energy/space (?) has a different energy and the 5 senses
experiences them differently.
Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.
The
questions are specific to the event... a different event will provide different
answers to the same exact questions.
