Liza Y's Experience
|
Experience description:
I
was driving home. The sun was setting down in the horizon. While listening to
Jon Kabbat Zinndescribing what mindfulness is, I suddenly was overwhelmed with a
feeling of intense joy, I felt that I knew everything there is to know, that I
knew the future awaiting me and everyone else, and that there is nothing to
worry about. I also felt that I was one with everything and that I was bigger
and beyond the horizon form all sides, that the content of this self holds all
knowledge there is , that there is not time, and that I was essentially
extremely joyful to be . This feeling and expansive joy lasted 4 hours and
slowly receded. It is not linked to a near death experience, but when reading
about near death experiences I see many similarities with my " peak experience".
The
Joy and intense love
The
sense of being ever present and indestructible.
The
Joy and intense love
The
sense of being ever present and indestructible.
At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?
No
Was
the experience difficult to express in words?
Yes My mind contained no thoughts with words just feelings and the knowing.
At
what time during the experience were you at your highest level of
consciousness and alertness?
Yes.
How
did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience
compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?
More
consciousness and alertness than normal It felt like I was much bigger than
my body and at the same time being in it, my mind felt huge and encompassing all
knowledge, I felt that I can call any knowledge into my consciousness , but at
the same time this felt as not the most important thing. I knew that I was not
the body, although in it, and that I am like everyone else immortal , there were
no words just a realization without words, I just knew, and the knowing was
constant , without any judgments attached. There was intense love and joy, I
felt loved and I loved everyone and everything myself. I wanted to tell
everyone about the content of the experience.
Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that
you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.

Uncertain They felt trivial and non existent. I felt that all my personal

experience that you did not have before the experience?
Yes 3 years later while listening to someone else's near death experience on
YouTube, before she said what she was about to say , I knew she was going to say
that time is actually one and not fragmented. Shortly after that I saw someone
in my mind standing next to my bed and saying " I knew it was a question of time
" and it felt like I was briefly in the future and back and having some kind of
a dj vu.
