LC D's Experience
|
Experience description:
I was about 7
years old at the time. In the middle of the night I woke up and found that I
was floating near the ceiling of my bedroom. I was floating on my stomach, so I
was parallel with my body which was lying in a single bed...except that I was
looking down at my body and my body was looking up at me. If we had been
swimming my body would have been doing a back stroke and the crawl. What struck
me was the sensation that I was conscious and that this consciousness was the
same rational sort that I experience when I am awake or right now for that
matter. I wasn't afraid. I liked the feeling because I realized that I was
experiencing a form of lightness that even at the happiest moment of my life I
could never experience.
I had the
impression that to be awake was to have some sort of force pushing down on me
and that when I wasn't in my body things were beautiful and light. I stayed
there for a while, floating, looking at myself and the way my body was
positioned in the bed, not being afraid. I tried to make my body wake up but
couldn't, then I very calmly decided that I should go back in my body. So I
slowly started to float down into my body...still in the same position. I was
acutely aware of the fact that I was floating down slowly....I tried to speed
things up but that didn't work...so I just kept on floating downwards. During
that time I continued to try to wake up my body which obviously didn't work.
The weird thing was when I finally got back in my body it was in a kissing
position and it was at that point that I couldn't see but I was still aware of
what was going on. Then I felt like I was moving through pudding or something
as my spirit cranked around 180 degrees in order to align myself with my body.
It happened rapidly enough and when I was properly in my eyes opened up and I
saw that my hands and feet were in the same position as I had seen them from
outside my body. Then I just got up and walked down the hall...I'm not sure if
I went to the bathroom or to see my mom or what.
