Laura's Experience
|
Experience description:
I
meditate daily. My husband (now ex) and three children would know to leave me
alone until I came out of my bedroom. Usually I would just meditate for 30
minutes and over time learned deep meditation. In less than 5 minutes I could
'get deep' quickly. I simply lay down flat on my back in bedroom with curtains,
doors, and eyes closed. I know it's starting because blobs of color start coming
a little slow at first, but then increases in speed and brilliance. To explain
this -it's like dropping paint on a black canvas and watching it spread. I have
at least 3 to as many as 5 colors going at once. After this happens for seems
like 5 minutes or so, I see beyond the colors. BTW, the colors are a presence. I
know this now. They are more than colors. When going deeper I keep my mind clear
and let it take me where it needs to. I see this as a way of learning spiritual
lessons.
Back
to the incident. When getting to the point when you cannot feel your body
anymore, sometimes I would feel this vibration. Slow and low. Felt good. Never
thought anything of it. This was one of those times. It started as usual, but
then didn't stop. It became very intense --and I started shaking in this
loud, intense vibration. More than shaking, I cannot describe. The noise was loud
-or the vibration. I went into what I thought was a void & felt very light, but
had this feeling before. I was very awake and felt I was in my body (but
different in a way I cannot explain). Anyway, went into the living room to see
my husband. He was sitting in the living room watching TV with a magazine on his
lap. I think I said something to him, but he didn't answer. He got up and went
to the bathroom, then went to the mirror and started picking on something on his
face. I don't remember saying anything to him at this point, but remember
standing behind him and (think) I was in the mirror too.
Suddenly I was jolted back to my body. I almost jumped up out of bed
immediately, I was feeling a mixture of fear, confusion, but intense excitement
too! I knew something amazing just happened, but didn't understand exactly what.
Anyway, I ran into the living room to tell my husband I reached a new level of
meditation --with the slow realization I had just been in there with him. Now
really confused, I got a little scared. I asked my husband if I was just in the
living room, then the bathroom with him. He said no. But I was! I told him I
came in a few minutes ago, exactly what he was doing in the living room, and
then in the bathroom. The look on his face. Realizing I had everything he did
for about 5-10 minutes exact. I could tell he was afraid, because he is very
close-minded. He didn't understand my studies or meditation. For a while after,
I remember being afraid to meditate. Now, I am a very spiritual person and only
deep meditate sometimes.

Career is easy. I was already a registered nurse. I now work in hospice, at a
place where we care for people dying. A lot of teaching involved. With the
family members too. Relationships are harder. Maybe I am waiting for the last
child to grow up. Two are grown. Maybe I am afraid. I have been single for 7
years. I don't care to date. I do go out and have fun though :) My
spirituality doesn't fit into any norm, and would need to find someone similiar.

confusion

best

Is

After the experience I needed to learn exactly what happened. Talked to serveral
people that believed this was more related to kundalini awakening. I would like
opinions. As far as out of body experiences, I do these regularly while at sleep
too. Lucid dreams. Knowing I am in a dream/place and sometimes being able to
guide my dreams.
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
Yes I can feel spirits around me sometimes. I'm very intuitive and can
instantly understand other peoples immediate feelings. I can also see spirits
at times although I rather not, and they definately mess with us sometimes at
work. At the hospice house.
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.
