Experience description:   

I was lying on my grandmothers couch...i felt my arms and legs getting heavy i was very relaxed... I remember feeling a sense of weightlessness... and then I was over myself...looking at the ceiling and I could not swallow at all...i then thought oh my god i am not breathing...when i tried to breathe the air was so strong.. it burnt my nostrils....i dropped back into myself...i could feel my arms flow back in starting at my shoulders rolling down into my fingers...as if i was being poured back in... the same happened w/my legs and toes... i was very lethargic and numb... it took me a while to move after the experience...i was scared but also very confused...i didn't talk about it until about 2 yrs later w/my boyfriend

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           I was very alert...no feeling like i could see and hear and smell...the air was strong... it burnt my nose...like my sense of smell was extremely heightened... but my body was numb

i felt like i was laying down for a short period of time...but it was more like hours

i think that when i took in that deep breath it scared me...which in turn caused me to return

my mother thought that I could die during another experience she was worried...my boyfriend at the time said that he too had similar experiences...in which made me feel good

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  scared... weirder out...and wonderful at the same time

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      the feeling of being weightless and floating...no pain...vision more vivid...I really hurt my nose...the air was almost sharp

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        I have had other experiences...but they have been scary...
