S's Experience

Experience description:
Very
rested, lying on couch listening to music. Could almost see myself lying there
so I explored it. When I became aware that the person on the couch was me I
decided to see what was out there this time and trust in a higher being. Went
straight up through the ceiling. Was logically thinking inside - outside. Went
through beams, insulation and then roof. Kinda startled me how that happened as
I wasn't expecting it. Saw cars and lights on the street then looked down at
city from above then earth. I turned to face the stars and it was pitch black.
Then started moving towards stars. Suddenly
everything was a blur and lights (stars?) were going by very fast. Came to the
end and it was like a dark wall or curtain ahead of emptiness. I could feel
life. That I cannot explain in words. As I moved towards the source there was a
tunnel like a vortex or wormhole with lights - I saw small stars - placed equal
distant through it. Moving against some kind of current it seemed. Then we
(don't know why I say we except that is when I felt God's presence) were on the
other side of the wormhole. There were stars about and a bright light, like a
beacon. Pure light. As I got closer to it this being said - but not in words -
"Stephen, it isn't your time yet. You have to return." I said ok in mind thought
or however we communicated. Then I asked if it would mind a question. The answer
was Ok. I asked "is there life other places in the universe." "Yes" was the
reply. "Where?" I asked. That is two questions it answered with a sense of
humor, and added you have the power to find it, follow those senses I gave you.
I followed
my sense, still on the other side of the wormhole to a planet. More like a water
planet with a big island. Not really green. I could feel life force below.
Suddenly I felt scared at what I might find and the moment I felt scared it was
as if the spell was broken and I started to return to my body. There was like a
trail that I had left and as my body sped home it followed that trail, like it
was connected, don't know how to explain. The light passed by again - I felt
that love again and said goodbye as that light grew smaller - really bright
though. You can see this light anywhere in that side of wherever I was. Suddenly
the wormhole passed by, the stars and then I saw earth coming up. I realized the
journey, whatever it had been was over and it could have been nothing more than
a dream. Here is
where it gets interesting. I had enough energy left - I was exhausted - to visit
a gal I was dating at the time. I had no idea where she lived but I found her by
life feelings - don't know how to explain it - we were like soul mates - then in
her room as I looked over her I kissed her on the forehead and left back to my
body. The next day she said to me, "the strangest thing happened to me last
night. I don't know what you have done to me. I woke up about midnight and you
were standing over me - well you were but you weren't - I could almost see you
and then you kissed me on the forehead. I felt it and then you were gone. What
have you done to me?" A month or two later when I finally visited where she
lived, it was exactly where I had gone out of body. Even the furniture was the
same. About a week after it happened I was telling a friend about the weird
thing that had happened to me and about the time I got to the vortex she said -
you had a near death type experience. It happened to my mom when I was a child
and she told me. I know where this story is going. At that point I didn't really
understand what had happened. touch - no
physical sense of touch although awareness of boundaries sight -
very much so smell - no
small
Any associated medications
or substances with the potential to affect the experience?
Uncertain
Was the kind of experience
difficult to express in words?
No
What was your level of
consciousness and alertness during the experience?
Very high. If I could have taken a
pen and paper we'd have made notes. I have also had precognition in my life so I
tend to pay attention when strange things happen.
Was the
experience dream like in any way?
not really. I seemed very real.
Did you experience a
separation of your consciousness from your body?
Yes I was bumping into the
ceiling behind me looking down on my body. I was seeing myself as if I were
asleep on the couch. I had an out of body experience about age 18 too and in
that case I was looking down at the top of my head as if I were asleep.
What emotions did you feel
during the experience?
Love. An incredible sense of Love.
and awe.
Did you hear any unusual
sounds or noises?
no

Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.
I found
your site tonight while wondering if there is a way to bring people who have had
NDE's together to change our political environment. I am concerned that the
focus on things like Darwinism will eliminate some from having beliefs that
would allow them to venture out if the opportunity came. One must be careful
while out though, I can tell that there are bad forces out there too.
Incidently, I believe that Darwin is right about the physical side of our beings
changing with the environment, but based upon my experience, science knows
nothing about the life force that is in us, or how things can happen where we
can see things when are out of body. My eyes were on the couch with my body yet
I could still see. Go figure.
