Experience description:

I inherited my dad's old four wheel drive truck. I had put it into 4WD and couldn't get it to go back to normal drive. I was really worried and a bit upset as I thought I'd done something wrong or damaged it. That night, I dreamt that I was in my dad's truck, sitting in the passenger seat. There was someone (it may have been dad, but I didn't recognize the person as dad in the dream) in the driver's seat. They told me and showed me that to get it out of 4WD, you had to ensure it was moving forward just slightly and then it would slip into normal drive really easily. The next morning, I got up and tried it and it worked. It was a very vivid dream in terms of showing and telling me how to fix this problem.

Kind of - sort of like 'here's how you do it Kaylene' - that's how dad always was when he was alive and showing me things

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:          This is something no one else knew how to do - and I'm not a car person, so its not something I would have subconsciously known either. A bit weird to be stuck as to how to fix the car and then suddenly in a dream I'm shown how to fix it - unless its my dad helping me out.

My husband was disbelieving. My best friend believed me as did my mum.

Did you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual event?           Yes 

I 'smell' my dad sometimes - a certain smell that I associate with him is sometimes present in the bathroom, other times not. When I can smell it, I think he's there.
