Justice J's Experience
|
Experience description:
I have
had a previous OBE experience and night terrors for as long as I can remember
the previous OBE occurred while under sedation for a dental treatment when I was
about nine and seems to be pretty standard fair based on other accounts. I
remember the nitrous mask, a floating feeling then bumping into the ceiling. I
rolled over and was looking at the dentist and his assistant from the ceiling.
when on of them stepped aside I recognized myself, freaked out and was sucked
back into my body. No one believed me when I told them about it so I just
dismissed it. The night terrors occurred randomly through out my life and were
always a terrifying experience. Eyes open un able to move or speak for what
seems like a eternity, the fear that some how you were paralyzed in your sleep.
Then being able to wiggle some appendage and the terror is released this usually
occurred early in the morning just before waking or just after falling asleep. I
felt I had no control of what was occurring and there were often menacing
entities present in the room until I shook the terror and was able to move
again. My most
recent experience with night terrors and OBE occurred over a period of four
days. I had just received a dose of radioactive Iodine for treatment of thyroid
cancer about a month after my thyroid was removed. I had to stay in a separate
room from my wife and not have contact with my 3year old daughter, so I was
sleeping on a futon mattress on the floor of my den. I was exhausted from the
radiation and not having begun any thyroid hormone replacement therapy. I
remember lying on the floor on my back and it seem as soon as my eyes were
closed I awoke to a terrifying experience. I was frozen in that position but
even worse initially I tried to move or tell my self I was reaming and to just
wake up. I could move my eye and look around the room but that was about it. As
I begin to try and focus on aspects of the dimly lit room I notice things
floating even darting around the room. They where definitely menacing in nature.
One in particular seemed to be perched in the corner of the room next to the
ceiling. Very gargoyles in nature just staring at me. I made an effort again to
get up and instantly it was on my chest forcing me to stay in place. It had its
face close to mine and I remember it almost taunting me with its disregard form
my complete fear of the situation. I was trying to push against it and sit up
but the weight was immense, simultaneously I was watching the other ( I am not
religious but would call them demons or at least malevolent spirits swirl around
the room. I became distinctly concerned that they might go in my daughters room
and try to harm her in some way. I try to scream to warn her or wake up my wife
or mother in law who was staying with s to help while I recovered. The best I
could to was emit some guttural groan that I am not even sure was audible,
anyway it force my lips to move which seemed to break the spell and the
entities reluctantly left as I recovered my ability to move. I walked around the
house strange as it sounds checked to doors checked on my family and was
generally reluctant to go back to sleep. When I did the ordeal began again with
a similar chronology inability to move what seemed like evil spirits in the room
and that thing sitting on my chest enjoying my fear or at least indifferent to
it. Again after an eternity I forced my self to move and thus the spirits
dispersed. When they cleared the room it was not instantaneous it was as if a
black smoke darker than the rest of the room was wisped away. That happened for
what seemed half a dozen times that night. I was very
hesitant to discuss this with my family for sear of seeming crazy, which is how
I felt after that first night. I got on the internet and researched the subject
of sleep paralysis for the first time ever. I did not realize that it was an
experience that others had had. Most accounts where of others terrified by the
occurrences and unsure what to do. Many felt plagued by them as if it were some
sort of curse with the only hope being waking up. Most recommended trying to
wiggle a finger or toe to break the spell. Others just rode it out in terror. I
did find an account that caught my interest of an individual that had learned to
deliberately move through the initial fear of the experience and transform it to
an OBE. This individual gave specific instructions for doing so. I followed
their advice and the following night was a much different experience. I awoke to
the same scenario as the previous night, only this time I assured myself that
they could not harm me and were only capable of instilling fear and
intimidation. This seem to rob them of their power and even transformed them
into a positive presence some with a religious back ground would probably call
them angels. I then made an effort to rotate my astral body horizontally with my
hips being the axis. This allowed me to break free of my body and I began to
float toward the ceiling. I spun around once I reached the sealing and saw
myself lying their eyes open with a blank stare on my face kind of like I was
staring up at myself on the ceiling. Turned back to the ceiling observing its
texture and began to try and move along it in an effort to travel to my wifes
room which I was able to do. I hovered over her and my mother in law for a time
just looking at them and noting other objects in the room. I remember feeling a
sense of pride in overcoming my fear and wanting to tell her hey look at me I
am flying when I attempted to speak the sound of my voice instantly sucked me
back into my body. I made several other short trips around the room and house
that night and awoke almost excited to share this less frightening almost
spiritual experience. When they woke up I told them of my previous experience
the night of terror as I referred to and them the experience of that night where
I had experience and OBE and travel to the room the were sleeping. I was able to
recollect where thing where in the room without having been in their like where
suitcases we and clothes on the floor, which side of the bed they were sleeping
on ect. I am sure it freaked them out. I know I was feeling odd yet excited
about the potential. The next might I awoke to the demons again and embraced
them with love as if politely asking them to depart so I could get on with my
OBE. That night I travel to many places some very far some not in this time or
even dimension. I just the methodology I used the third night is worth
mentioning incase anyone actually reads this. I laid on my back with hand palm
down at my side I tried to relax and as I did so asked that I be able to
experience and OBE again. Dont ask who I was making the request to. I then
pivoted on the horizontal axis and broke loose of my body once I did I was of
until I choose to return the last night seemed like an all night experience.
