Jenny's Experience
|
Experience description:
Whilst I was in the induced coma, I felt periodically so much pain, heat and
discomfort. I actually asked to die because of the discomfort, it felt so bad.
This was something I asked for forgiveness for afterwards. When the pain got so
bad, I found that I went to a place which was very warm and loving, a beach
scene like that of 'Footprints' which has always had a profound affect on me. It
is probably of no significance to anyone, but the view was from the opposite
direction to how that 'scene' is normally portrayed. It was beautiful, I felt
such a sense of warmth, no pain, just 'at home', so peaceful. Then writing
appeared before my vision, it is hard to describe, like scrolls of printing
without a typewriter, rolls and rolls. And all of the knowledge of the universe
was there, and I had all of the knowledge of the universe. The answers to
questions like 'why do children have to suffer?' etc. And I knew the answers to
these questions, and my response was 'so that's why', and I felt at peace with
the answer, even though in my earthly life I wouldn't have understood. And then
I was back in my hospital bed, in the coma, hearing things around me, but unable
to communicate. However, whenever my physical condition deteriorated to the
extent that I felt so much pain, I was able to go back to that special place
where peace reigned
At the
time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?
Yes
I had an undiagnosed condition which caused my lungs to collapse, leading to
cardiac arrest and being put on life support. My family were told to expect the
worst. My condition was never diagnosed, there were a number of tests which
showed no known virus, it was put down to some unknown 'super bug'.
Was
the experience difficult to express in words?
Yes I do express this experience when I feel it may help the recipient,
however I do feel it hard to express normally due to the fear of being seen as
'abnormal' in a clinical world.
At
what time during the experience were you at your highest level of
consciousness and alertness?
I always felt that this experience was real, I would have been very happy to
have stayed
How
did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience
compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?
More
consciousness and alertness than normal It is very difficult to explain, I
KNOW that I understood the reasons behind life itself, I KNOW that I had all the
knowledge of the universe, yet now I no longer have that knowledge, but know
that there is a reason for everything. I also had some dreams during this
experience which I KNOW were different to this experience and were due probably
to the drugs I had been fed
Please
compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had
immediately prior to the time of the experience.
It
was a case of pain versus absolute lack of pain, warmth and peace, knowledge,
love and beauty
Please
compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had
immediately prior to the time of the experience.
nil
Did
you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your

wonderful

No
Did
you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?
No
Did
you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?
No
Did time seem
to speed up or slow down?
No
Did
you suddenly seem to understand everything?
Everything about the
universe
Absolutely! All of the knowledge of the universe was mine, I have struggled with
your questions because I did not see the 'light' etc, however that peace and
knowledge of the reasons for everything and happening on earth was answered
Did
you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?
No
Did
you come to a border or point of no return?
No
Did
scenes from the future come to you?
No
During
your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness
suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly
life (life after death)?
Yes Yes, I had all of the knowledge of the universe in the 'scrolls', I knew
there was a reason for everything and every experience
During
your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God
or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?
Yes via the scrolls
During
your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you
either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?

mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?

and everyone else's

Yes With the hard questions eg 'why do children have to suffer?', within the
reason/answer I sensed love always
During your experience, did you encounter any other specific information /
awareness that you have not shared in other questions that is relevant to living
our earthly lives?
Uncertain Only that there is a reason for everything in life
Did
you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?
Yes Absolutely! The knowledge of all the universe, and that was mine
What occurred during your experience included:
Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at
the time of your experience Whilst I have always considered I have faith in
God, there is always the 'doubting Thomas' within me. This experience has
helped to make me more spiritual rather than religious
How
accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events
that occurred around the time of the experience?
I
remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred
around the time of the experience All I can say is that this experience will
remain with me until my death, I believe there is a reason for everything, even
my survival. It hasn't always been easy in my life, I have experienced some
great trials since my recovery as well as some great joys. I am more empathetic
with others and more understanding. I currently work with a religious program
for children, teaching them that God exists
Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your
experience:
I
guess I could say that I was more a spiritual and open thinker before, now I
KNOW that there is a reason for everything.
My
experience directly resulted in:
Large changes in my life
Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that
occurred as a result of the experience?
Yes I was profoundly grateful to have survived, mainly for my children who
were young at the time, I wondered for quite some time, why I had been 'saved'.
At the end of some thinking, I realised it really wasn't so important to work
out, I just needed to do the best I could. After I retired, the opportunity to
work with children in this religious program came to me, rather than I sought
it, and it seemed 'meant to be'. My aim is not so much to indoctrinate children,
but to let them know that God, a supreme being, exists, and He is good and we
must do the best we can
Do you
have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that
you did not have before the experience?
No
Have you ever shared this experience with others?
Yes
It was probably quite some time before I shared my experience because I come
from a conservative background. However there were times when I felt it
appropriate to share this experience, sometimes with people who are struggling
with faith in a 'supreme' being, a number of people have said that they feel
goose bumps, which is something I feel when I recall the experience
Did
you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your
experience?
Yes
What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to
weeks) after it happened:
Experience was definitely real I KNEWit was real
What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:
Experience was definitely real I KNOW it was real, and I KNOW that we are all
here for a reason, and to experience certain things. It was real!
Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes
People say I am different, more tolerant and easy going
Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result
of your experience?
Yes
I
would say I am even more 'spiritual' now than religious
At
any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the
experience?
No
Is
there anything else that you would like to add about your experience?
No,
except I went through these experiences desperately wanting to see some similar
to my own, I guess in my earthly body, still wanting to validate my experience.
Sadly, mine is different, and like most living beings, I wanted my experience to
comply with the 'normal', unfortunately it doesn't
Did
the questions asked and information that you provided accurately and
comprehensively describe your experience?
Yes
