Jennifer B's Experience
|
Experience description:
Here's my
most recent experience, which happened about a week ago: I was
lying in my recliner in the middle of the night, having already been awake a
couple of hours from the buzzing energy that rushes through my body these days
like a thousand little fingernails tickling me in long swatches over my
buttocks, my thighs, my back, my forehead, my arms ... I lie there basking in
the energy, a vibration that makes me know that I am very much alive. I don't
mind that I'm not sleeping. Sleeping and dreaming don't seem to come close to
this ecstasy, this force, this wholeness. I lie back
and think: This might just be a very good time for an out-of-body experience. As
soon as I think it, my right arm pops up into the air, but, of course, it's not
my "physical" arm; it's my astral arm. Then, while my right arm is suspended
toward the ceiling, I will my left arm to come up and join in the lifting. Then
with my right astral hand, I reach up and grab a girth inside of my head and I
pull it up and over and down and around until I am tumbling in a somersault
toward the coffee table in front of me. I go right through the table, of course,
and end up coming full circle into an upright form floating several inches above
the floor.
Immediately, I start flying forward in my "Superman" position toward the wall
where the thermostat is. I'm going fast, and I'm going to hit the wall, or, more
likely, go through it. I stop myself short and become upright again. As I hover
there, I think: Ok, what now? What do I want to do? Where do I want to go? My
attention is drawn toward the front door to the outside. Yes, I want to go
through the door and go outside. I float toward the door, and as I go through
it, I feel the familiar vibration and I hear the familiar buzz of my astral form
going through matter. It is heavenly ... Once
outside, I decide that I want to see things as they really are in my world. I
look over at our van in the carport and know I'm doing good. As I look at the
van, however, it vanishes, and the familiar carport turns into a structure that
I've never seen before. I look to the right to a group of trees that I've never
seen before. It's still dark as I float over to the trees and merge into them.
Once inside the leaves and branches and trunk, a huge vibration begins. I feel
the life of the trees. It is LOVE. The trees are emanating a very distinct
vibration of pure love, and I just melt. I can't seem to believe how powerful
and ecstatic it is to be inside the life of the trees. These are not dormant,
mundane beings of a slow vibration. There is extreme bliss inside trees that one
would never imagine! I float
out, and now it is daylight and I am in a big city, floating above a very busy
city street with tall buildings, cars parked along both sides, and cars buzzing
in both directions below me. I started to concentrate and what I notice is that
there are an awful lot of very colorful, sparkling new versions of the old
Volkswagen Beetle parked along the street. I thought I must be visiting a scene
back in the sixties or something. I don't have any idea of where I was or "when"
I was! I consciously willed myself to pass through some of the parked cars, and
every one had a vibration of its own, a life of its own, that I was privileged
to partake of. Still in
the city, I decide I'd like to stop floating and to try walking. I'm immediately
grounded, and I feel like I have two left feet, like a fish out of water. It
takes me a while to get the momentum going right. But I do it and now I'm
walking. It comes to me that I would really, really like to make contact with
some people. Immediately, I come upon a building and pass through the wall,
walking, feeling the familiar vibration of the living wood and brick that make
up the wall. Inside, I realize I'm in a very populated and busy bank or
something. I start
saying hello and smiling at people. It's inaudible because there's no need to
speak. I come across several people who smile back and then I can see the
confusion on their faces, like, "why am I smiling?" It's as it they took note of
me and then couldn't rectify it because they couldn't see me, and then
questioned themselves. I go over to stand beside a woman who's waiting in line
to go forward to the female teller. As she goes forward, I too go forward and
stand beside her. The teller greets her, and then she greets ME. The woman
customer looks at the teller surprisingly and then looks over at me, but I can
tell that she thinks she's just looking at empty space, questioning why the
teller would be communicating to no one. The teller
then explains to the customer that she commonly sees various ghosts and
apparitions and must be having that experience now. I'm happy about being seen
and acknowledged. The customer starts to get the drift of the situation, that
there's someone standing there beside her. The teller
asks me where I have come from, and I tell her I'm just having an out-of-body
experience, and that my body is lying in my recliner back in my house. She seems
enthralled, saying that she's never encountered someone incarnate who's just out
of their body floating around, and seems really grateful for the experience. Having
accomplished my desire of making contact with real, live people, I start to
leave the bank. I'm tired of walking, so I assume my "Superman" position again
and fly up and out of the building near the ceiling, closing my eyes and
enjoying the vibration of going through matter once again before heading home. I suddenly
feel very tired. My mind is shot. I think being so lucid and directing the
experience has really zapped me of my energy. There is no traveling back. I'm
immediately hovering over my chair and lowering myself back into my body,
docking back into my form. I hover there for a while between worlds, just
feeling my astral body and my physical body at the same time, re-integrating,
before I settle down and drift off to sleep.
Any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Was
the kind of experience difficult to express in words?
No
At
the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening
event?
No
What
was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?
Totally awake and lucid. Most of my OBEs are these days.
Was the
experience dream like in any way?
Of course!
Everything I want to experience immediately happens!
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
Yes From my
physical body, yes. But not from my astral body.
What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
Ecstasy, joy,
power, limitlessness.
Did
you hear any unusual sounds or noises?
I usually only
hear vibrations. Communications are normally mentally transmitted without sound
or voice.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION:
Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar
religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or
amazing creatures?
No
Although the experiences are usually "heavenly" and magical, there's nothing
religious going on.
Did
you see a light?
Yes I had
one OBE where there were lights, like stars, and I was zooming by them so very
fast that they were like streaks of light. But if you're talking about the light
that one would see in a NDE, no.
Did
you meet or see any other beings?
Yes All the
time. On this planet and others.
Did
you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?
Yes
I
experiment with walking instead of floating. I try to feel sensation of cold,
heat, etc., instead of the usual neutral absence of sensation. It always plays
out just like I want it to.
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
No
Did
you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they
different?
Yes
Usually there are no five senses as I know if them in 3D existence. Things are
"heard" without sound. Touch is not the same - it's usually vibration. I hear a
lot of tones.
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
Yes I never
know how much time has passed, and there is no space.
Were
you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?
Yes Sometimes it's spontaneous; sometimes I will it.
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
No I'm always pretty paranormal.
Did
you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes After
the 1st time in 1973, I totally lost my fear of death or any sort of unpleasant
hereafter.
How
has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices?
Career choices?
None.
Has
your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?
No
Have
you shared this experience with others?
Yes I only
share with people who are open to this, and would not think I'm crazy. I've
gotten a lot of acceptance with those I really care about.
What
emotions did you experience following your experience?
Amazement at my
multidimensionality and complexity.
What
was the best and worst part of your experience?
It's always
been very good. There is no "worst."
Is
there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?
I
wouldn't know where to begin
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
