I had recently joined a meditation group, meeting one evening during the week in a guided group meditation. This particular evening a small copper pyramid with a lit candle inside was situated on a table in the middle of the room surrounded by a circle of chairs. There were about 10 people present, and the idea was to focus on the candle in the pyramid, before the start of the guided visualization. We stared at it for several minutes...than the instructor started to speak and we closed our eyes. After being guided through a lovely walk through a forest and along a path of flowers, I made my way into a cave. In there I sat by myself. Soon the talking in the background became quiet and then stopped altogether. Only the music was faint in the background to hear. I knew I had ample time left now by myself. 

The cave was dimly lit from the entrance and seemed to be filled with crystals of all sorts. I observed them, while walking along the walls. There was an opening,  partly hidden on the side. Compared to the subdued light in the cave, the opening was stark black. Something drew me towards it. I entered it, and I felt a down ward motion. A mix of curiosity and the notion of having to go through it moved me forward. I kind of sat down and let go. I fell forward and down...in a spiral swirl...like gushing through a snail house, down a narrow tunnel, just making out a faint light which was coming from where I was moving too. The fast movement and free-fall gave me dizziness and feelings of nausea. Sometimes my feet where in front and sometimes I flew head first. Endless I seemed to move in the cork screw motion, moving from left to right. Then I noticed the light getting stronger and my pull towards it increased.

I had arrived at the end of this tunnel, and stopped in front of a wall of immense light, so strong, it was almost blinding me. The light seemed to communicate to me...urging me to move through it. I felt compelled to do so, but I knew I was unable to do this in this current body of mine. Still, there was nothing I wanted to do more. My consciousness moved through the lighted entrance, and I felt my body pulling backwards. Had I felt weightless floating through this tunnel, I now felt even lighter. I turned around and noticed something, which I made out to be my body sitting there very lifeless. 

Now outside the tunnel, I could not make out any space. I have no idea how big or small this area was, and all there seemed to be was light so brilliant and bright, it seemed to come from everywhere, as I could not see a visible source. My analytical mind had taken a step back, and I was in the observation mode. Suddenly there came a Being through the light towards me. Immense light was emanating from it.  I was drawn to it like a magnet, and we stood in front of each other. Our hands connected and touched at the palms. In that instance an unbelievable flow of energy moved from them through my whole being and flooded me with a love, I had never known before. I felt like an empty battery that was getting charged up. The flow of energy was so strong, it filled my whole being and I felt there was far more than I needed. At that point I became aware of the group of people sitting in the room I was in. Automatically I directed my focus towards each person sitting on their chair, and large balls of fire blew out of my stomach like cannon balls and covered each person in light. This happened for all the people present, after which I draw my consciousness back into myself.  Even no words were spoken; there seemed to be some form of communication between me and the Light Being. We were still standing joined at the hands, when all of a sudden I knew it was time to depart. We moved slowly away from each other, and I became aware of the tunnel behind me. I stepped into it...somehow entered my lifeless body and made my way up the passageway into the cave. 

I  brought back with me this incredible energy. I was filled with this beautiful unconditional love. The instructor had guided everyone back into time and space, and I could hardly wait to talk about what I experienced. When it was my turn I told everyone what happened, and how the fireballs where bathing everyone in the group with energy. Some people thought they felt extra energized that evening. An elderly man who sat opposite me said, that he had observed something that evening that had disturbed him, and he did not know what to make out of it.  I instantly knew it had something to do with my experience. He explained that he had come out of the meditation a bit earlier, and just sat there and waited for the group to finish. He then saw two angel-like beings standing behind me, and he thought he also saw me leaving my body. 

As usually at the end of a meditation, the group would do some healing on each other, by laying hands on or above the body or head of the person needing healing. When holding my hands above a young man's head that evening, sparks came from my hands. He felt it too...it was like a rush of energy. 

For three days the energy stayed with me, and I was filled with unconditional love.  I tried to return to the tunnel to meet with the Being again, but it never happened again like that.

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   No 

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  Yes     It is difficult to describe the unearthly light, feelings, and the 'body' of the Light Being. Also my own body in the tunnel and after the tunnel is hard to explain.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    My mind seemed to be wholly in the background after I left the tunnel and stayed with the Light being. Only 'Now' seemed to exist. Being One with the experience.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal   Only 'Now' seemed to exist. Being One with the experience. No thoughts of what would happen next or where was I. It was like I was fully present in the moment. Nothing else seemed to matter.

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   Vision seemed to be all around. When my awareness returned to the group, my vision went there straight away.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   I seemed to understand more on a telepathy level than hear actual words. I felt a message of love come from the Being without any words spoken.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   Yes   I saw the group of people sitting in the room meditating. It was like a part of me was merging with the group when the energy left my body and moved towards them.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   When going through the tunnel I was curious first. I became more and more energized and felt light. When merging with the Light Being I felt total unconditional love. I felt so charged up with love there was no more room for more it seemed. It was almost overwhelming. Nothing I had ever experienced before in life.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   Uncertain   When coming out and back through the tunnel my analytical mind was coming back and the thought came in my mind that this Being might have been Jesus. But during the experience no names where communicated to me.

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   Yes   I saw or was shown the people from my meditation group, also I did not encounter them personally like the Light Being.

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No  

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   A clearly mystical or unearthly realm

The notion of time did not exist, as thinking did not exist either. There was only NOW. Even so it appeared to be in linear time...it was more of a folding in, or evolving process. It was like things happened simultaneously and side by side.

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   No

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   Uncertain

Did you come to a border or point of no return?   I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was "sent back" against my will

Did scenes from the future come to you?  No 

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (�life after death�)?   Yes   Past, present and future did not seem to exist during the experience. There was only NOW... I had the awareness that this Now is always there...and will be after death.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   I encountered the most loving and radiating Light Being during my experience. It was unlike any Being described in Religions.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   I felt one with the Light Being and was aware of the people in the room meditating and was connected with them when my awareness took me to them.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life�s meaning or purpose?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life�s difficulties, challenges, or hardships?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding love?   Yes   I experienced love in its highest form. Unconditional love. Overflowing love. Love like an energy source charging up my whole being and that of people in the room.

During your experience, did you encounter any other specific information / awareness that you have not shared in other questions that is relevant to living our earthly lives?   Uncertain   The message was Love.

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   No  

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   There seemed to be no judgment. The God portrayed in the Bible is one of judgment. I did not agree at the time of the experience with Religious Dogma, but have been brought up the Christian way.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   I wrote my experience down. Apart from that the experience was so elevating I will never forget it.

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   Immediately after the experience, I was in a state of bliss for 3 days. The high energy started to come down after that. I was in a positive state of mind. Nothing seemed to upset me. Having experienced this unconditional love during the experience, I was looking to find another experience like that again. I found it frustrating at times that nothing on earth would match this love. Having experienced this love, I am able to connect to it when going deeply within ... and when I do, I seem to be more connected with all there is... The experience left a certainty of life after death.

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   No  

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   Uncertain   After the experience I traveled through the tunnel many times. I never connected with this Light Being but went to other places, where I saw/see other beings (not as vivid and transforming as this experience). I have seen some of my 'past' lives and their meanings. I seem to connect with people now in a way that I feel or sense what is going on with them. Its like reading their energies.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?     The unconditional Love was a very healing and uplifting experience at the time. Significant is that Love is all that is really important in life.

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  First none, later only with a select few. Immediately afterwards my partner could feel he could not upset me in anyway.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   Yes   I read Elisabeth Kⁿbler's Book many years prior to that. It had no affect on my experience. I did not know what to expect during the experience.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   I did not just see something other worldly... I experienced it with my whole being. It transformed me immediately. It brought a lasting effect with it.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real   My view about the reality of my experience is still the same as it was just after it happened.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?   No  

Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?   Uncertain   God is to be found within only... not without. A Judgmental God is a human God.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?   Uncertain   Deep meditation states connecting with 'God' within have brought on blissful states of unconditional love.

Also many years ago I walked past a Born Again Church and felt this blissful energy outside it, which was similar or part of the experience, which prompted me to go and visit the church for a while. Worship of God seemed to increase the loving energy. But the teachings of the Devil seemed to decrease the heightened states and I left.

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience?   I call it the best experience of my life. 

Also... there was a physical change going on during the experience. My body got very hot. The person next to me also told me he felt heat coming off me. After the experience, while healing with laying on off hands on another person head, spark like energy was coming out of my hands, and was felt by the other person.
