Experience description:

I have had multiple experiences throughout my life. They happen quite frequently. I am certain that the mind is separate from the body, I know it survives death. You are energy. You are conscious intelligence. That is what you are. You inhabit this body for a brief time to learn lessons on your earthly walk. After you die. You still exist. This is a fact.

The following are a few stories I will share:

I made a request, not a death pact, to a friend who was dying from AIDS. He agreed that if he could, he would communicate with me after he passed. He did.

He sent a message in a dream and reminded me to be careful in intimate relationships.

I had a soulmate who's father had died several years prior to our relationship. I had never met nor known his father. One day I had a dream of a man standing outside near a cabin in the woods. He was on a hill. His hair was grayish white and he was wearing a red and black flannel shirt. He told me things about my soulmate. When I awoke from that dream, I told my soulmate all the things his father had said. He was in awe. Decades later, after my soulmate had died from cancer, I had a personal experience with him. Over a decade ago I was diagnosed with some type of neurological disorder. As I was pondering whether or not I would die from it, I clearly heard my soulmate's voice in my mind. He asked, "Do you want me to wait for you?"

I've had numerous friends who were terminally ill and have since died.

One friend died from mesothelioma. He was an ornery man. We had a long and confusing friendship where I had eventually pushed him away. When he was severely ill I visited him. We had a good visit. Six months later, I found out he had died. One day out of the blue, clear as a bell, I heard him in my mind say, "Prettier than a speckled pup on a full moon!" That was how he always described me.

Another friend was dying from Lupus. I would visit and talk with her frequently. At some point the progression of the illness killed her. I used to tell her that she was more than her body. That she was a soul. That she would continue on from this existence. One day out of the blue, I heard her in my mind. She was very happy. She said, "You were right! You were right! You were right!"

I had another friend who suffered from complications with diabetes. He did not take very good care of himself. One day I had seen an old black and white photo and asked who the woman was in the photo. He said, his mom. I had a dream that was very detailed about this woman. She was young and vibrant, curly reddish brown hair, ruddy cheeks. She was short. She was smiling and holding a clipboard to her chest. My friend was in the background dressed in a white uniform and he was angry and waving a cooking spoon. She said, "There goes my son again." When I awoke from that dream I told my friend all the details and said to him, "I didn't know you were a cook." He confirmed he had been a cook then he exclaimed, "You dreamt about my mom!" He died years later after I had lost contact with him. I had dream visits from him where he was always happy to see me. One day, I realized he may have died and verified that he had. The visitation dreams ceased.

I've had several tunnel visions/dreams over the past several decades. The first one I can recall, I was in my early twenties and I felt as though my consciousness was being dragged into some kind of undercurrent. I felt strongly that I needed to fight it or I would die. Suddenly, I was traveling very fast down a dirt tunnel toward darkness. There was a fire glow around me. I was the light in this tunnel. I stopped suddenly midway through the tunnel and noticed a spider web. Then I sped up again and got to the other side. I was standing in front of a very large demon? Possibly devil? Kind of looked like the devil in the movie Legend. Anyway, there I was looking at him and he was standing behind a large rock with a book on it that he appeared to be reading. He briefly looked down at me and then just went back to reading. If that's hell, that is the closest I've ever experienced it. Since then, I've had numerous visions of a tunnel of light and I end up in a very pleasant place, mostly outside, full of life and vibrant colors, sunshine, puffy clouds, etc. There is always a man in these visions. A black man. One time he asked me, "You're not dying on me yet, are you?" Then he pushed me backwards through the tunnel! The last dream/vision I had of him, he asked, "There are many people here who would like to speak with you, what should I tell them?" I said, "When I know, they'll know." He asked again, "Is that what you want me to tell them?" I think I nodded.

I joke with people and tell them heaven doesn't want me and hell's afraid I'll take over.

In the past several years I have lost many friends, relatives, and acquaintances. Two died from COVID-19. A former co-worker and my own father.

I'm not sure if what I have is a result of the extreme abuse I suffered from as a child, if it is part of my neurological disorder, a gift from the great beyond or a mix of all of the above. I don't normally share my stories like this. Usually, I only tell people that need to hear it. But I recently found this site and wanted to share at least a few of my own experiences.

 Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words?          No     

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?    Lucid. I am able to maintain some part of my daily waking consciousness within a dream or vision.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?  More real than life.

 Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?   Yes    Multiple experiences of OBEs and NDEs. More than I have described in this account.

 What emotions did you feel during the experience?          Mostly alert and curious. Sometimes I'm afraid. It depends on the experience.

 Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?         I've had NREM dreams that had disembodied voices. I've had OBEs where I heard songs playing with lyrics I recognized. I've heard radio static and call letters from other parts of the world. Various accounts and experiences.

 LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?         Yes    I believe I've once visited something like the gates of hell. Most of the time I am in a dream, sometimes a vision, and often I am in a dream communication with deceased souls. Most are at peace, but not always. I don't ever see heaven or angels. I am in a place full of life and it is usually outside.

 Did you see a light?        Yes    There is a light at the end of the tunnel. And in my one vision of the devil, I was the light in the tunnel.

 Did you meet or see any other beings?         Yes    A black man in the earthly landscape dreams and visions. A devil in the gates of hell vision. I don't know them personally. Read my account to understand what was communicated.

 Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?         Yes   

I've had numerous visions and accounts of things I saw ahead of time. Then walked right into those situations later. I did not detail those experiences for this account.

 Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes    I've observed and heard many people and events during my multitude of experiences and have always verified when possible.

 Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different? Uncertain     This question is ambiguous as we have much more than five senses. Normally, while in a vision or dream, I am unaware of my physical senses.

 Did you have any sense of altered space or time?  Yes    In at least one vision I sensed I was not in earthly time. This was a tunnel of light vision and I asked the black man what time it was. He said, "Tee One. Now."

 Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?         Yes    I learn things from the After Death Communications that I did not know. I may know more about the purpose of the universe than I am stating here. It is not recorded in this account.

 Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?           No     

Did you become aware of future events?      Yes    I've known about many future events whether personal or happening to someone I knew. Those experiences are not recorded in this account.

 Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?          Yes    The black man pushed me backwards through the tunnel in the vision that I recorded in this account. Most often I have spontaneous OBEs/NDEs. I always return whether I want to or not.

 Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?      Uncertain     Multiple experiences are recorded in this account. I always have had special gifts. It took me years to understand that I may actually be psychic. I don't brag or boast about it. I keep this private between myself and close friends.

 Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?     No     

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?   I don't agree with religion of any kind personally. It is not for me. I will say that people who do follow religion need that type of structure and guidance and there is a purpose for it. My relationships are varied. Nothing in these experiences have really had any affect on my daily decisions.

 Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience? No     

Have you shared this experience with others?       Yes    I have shared several of my experiences with those who would benefit from hearing it. I've recorded some of those conversations in this account.

 What emotions did you experience following your experience? Varied.

 What was the best and worst part of your experience?          The best part of my experiences is knowing that we are more than our physical selves. The worst part was wanting to stay on the other side and not being allowed to do so.

 Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience? Experiences. Not at this time.

 Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?       No

Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.       I appreciate the extent of the questions asked but it doesn't apply very well to multiple experiences. Otherwise I think it is rather thorough.
