Donald M's Experience
|
Experience description:
My husband goes to bed at night and when he relaxes two things can
happen: fall asleep until the next day, or a journey out of his body (also
called OBE for short, which stands for Out of Body Experience). This happened in
the past as an average of once a week, and currently about once every 10 months.
While he is still aware
of his body, he starts feeling noises, and cannot move (even if he wants to move
to "wake up"). His fingers and extremities move involuntarily every few seconds
involuntarily. In his mind, he explains, he "rolls" out into the air and
suddenly he is seeing his own body down below where he is at now (at about one
meter above his body) and he can also see me (my body) sleeping. He can see his
body sleeping. He can see himself as with a huge brilliant light. Now, he knows
and is fully aware that he is out of his body again, as in his childhood. He can
decide to go wherever he wants and decides to check on the kids first to make
sure they're all fine. To do this, he just thinks and travels through the walls
and in a fraction of a second he's in the children's room. He can go outside but
he is scared, so he decides to stay at home looking at things. It doesn't' mean
that he has not gone outside but usually he prefers to stay. One day, he went to
see a friend with whom they were talking about visiting at night, traveling in
spirit only. He went and mentally asked him to go with him. He got so scared
that turned around and wrapped himself with the covers yelling "leave me
alone!." My husband didn't want to scare him, so he left. The following day this
friend told everybody that Donald was a witch type of person and left town for
good.
He can see the light in
every person. He has seen the light of all our family members in their bodies
during their sleep when he was in the "journey." He has also seen only lights
(without body) in the same dimension. Some of them were felt by him as negative
(dark cloud-like lights) and positive (light yellow, or silver colors) perceived
by him as positive or "good" souls.
There have been so many
times that he had these experiences that he feels he can go anywhere, including
at the other side of the universe in an instant of a second, just by thinking.
But, he is very scared of not being able to come back, so, he doesn't even try.
Another time, he went
to a friend's house and while he was sleeping, he called (mentally called) him.
Days before they have agreed that my husband would call him to go together to
this "journey." When he called him, he was so scared that he left town and never
spoke to my husband again, saying that my husband was a kind of witch or so.
Other than the "lights"
he sees, he has never encounter another being but he says he knows he can go
anywhere he wants. It's only too scary to try, so he wanders around the house or
in our street.
Another time, he went
to see our children sleeping on the floor below our room, while in the
"journey." One of them was waking up and my husband "knew" he was in trouble and
that he was going to go upstairs to his parents (us) for help. My husband wanted
to help him; but knew that he was in a spiritual realm and had to go back to his
physical body, wake up, and get up to help him. Muy husband could verify that
our son was scared and needed support because he got up to help him and knew
what was going on with him before our son reached our room upstairs.
The other thing that I
would like to add, also as an observer, is that he is a person with special
qualities difficult to find in other regular people. For example: Donald has
never studied the guitar in a professional way, but still he can reproduce (with
a good accuracy) the play of famous guitarrists, such as Narcisso Yeppes, John
McClaughin, Al Di'Meola, Paco De Lucia, etc.
Another example, is
that he has never been in a tennis lesson, and every time he is seen by other
instructors (our kids' instructors, or friends) he is recognized and comment: "I
have seen many people who play good tennis, but you, Donald, are extremely good.
You can play with the pros and win."
A third example, is
that he is not only good at Basketball, all his peers and friends who have seen
him play Basketball have said that Donald can do things that only Michael
Jordan, or Shack can do, or even they say that not even "they" can do. Amazing
things. He was in the National "Liga" of his country but never wanted to
continue. He still plays very good at 50 years old. And I'm not talking about a
one-time amazing acrobacy or two, but a consistent behavioral pattern in this
sport field.
An additional example
is that I don't have anybody who can beat him in Chess. He is a Security Officer
and a student. Even his "big bosses," in his company, Comcast Cable, have asked
Donald -in an ogoing basis- to play chess with them and have never been a time
that they win: it's always Donald the one who wins. And I'm talking about people
who are Millionaires, the different Presidents of the Comcast Cable company,
also Charles Schwab, etc. They always ask Donald to play chess, or tennis (he
denies Tennis because it takes time; but, Chess is played during his work time).
These are only some of
his qualities that I observed about him and may be related to his experience of
OBE. But, my most amazing impression of him is his overall intelligence. I don't
know if the O.B.E.s have anything to do with this but Donald has an overall
intelligence above the normal range, I would say. Donald can grasp difficult and
complex ideas at first exposure, and can then process and organize the ideas to
paraphrase them in an uninterruptible speech. And talking about speech, he can
give an impromptu speech without preparation, and almost no flaws in front of a
huge audience. Donald can understand all concepts, including those difficult
ones, in a first summarized lecture, without taking notes and give a test with
100% accuracy without having read any chapter of a school textbook. He has done
this at the Community College of Denver and has a 3.6+ GPA, and never read the
book, only listening to the teacher and listening or reading information as
personal interests only. This way he passed Physics, Psychology, Mathematics,
etc. Back in Chile, he was the honored (verbally) by his teacher, Dean of the
Department of Physics at the University of Chile, in Chile (South America) as
the ONLY smartest student that had the notion of the concepts of Physics. He
never studied, he only listened to the lectures. He had the highest grades in
Physics. He studied four years at that university. He can easily read Stephen
Hawkins and understand everything. He knows about the String theory,
entanglement, superposition, parallel universes, quantum unification, and is
capable of solving high degree mathematical equations, like operators, etc. He
has explained me the Schroedinger Theory, and universe laws of Physics (Newton &
Quantum Physics), etc. He is not only knowledgeable in the science of Physics or
Mathematics, but also has a wide range of information in his brain about
History, Psychology, Healing, Politics, etc., etc. He is very interesting and
fun to be with, and I think this is due to his special qualities and high
intelligence.
You may -logically- ask
why he has not finished any of his studies. Well, his mother abandoned him and
his father did the same. His parents had him when they were both 15 years old.
So, he was raised by people who (severely) lack the sense of responsibility and
he applied this destructive behavior. But, later in life, he learned the hard
way and has become a responsible man, a good example for his children. Now, he
works and goes to school, and takes good care of his family of five children,
including one with a disability.
His level of
performance at work, in school, and at home (as a husband, and father) is high
in general.
Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? No It wasn't difficult to express because it didn't involve
any traumatic experience since OBE is a regular experience for him but very
interesting.
At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event? Uncertain The only life threatening part was
when he (my husband) was in "there" (in that "place" or landscape) he saw
"beings" that looked like lights (light and dark ones). He himself was a like he
describes a ball of light. He was scared of the dark ones because he "knew" or
sensed they were "bad." He didn't know how bad, but definitely bad or negative.
He was scared that "they" may take over his (my husband's) body.
At what time
during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and
alertness? At all times, he knows he is conscious about what's going on. He
knows all the time that he is in a "journey." He even tricked himself to see if
it's a "journey" or real life.
How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience
compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness? Normal consciousness and alertness
At all times, he knows he is conscious about what's going on. He
knows all the time that he is in a "journey." He even tricked himself to see if
it's a "journey" or real life.
Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any
aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception
degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)? No
Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any
aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness,
etc.)?
No
Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body? Uncertain
What emotions
did you feel during the experience?
Mostly scared.
Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?
No
Did you see a light?
Yes Sometimes he sees lights passing by; he perception of these lights are
"beings." He sees himself as light too. He can see his body laying down in the
bed "sleeping" by my side (he sees me too). Some lights are darker, others
lighter. He "is" mostly lighter than dark. In other words, he says, his light is
lighter than most "lights." Only a few are light than his. He says he has seen
our "lights" emanating from our bodies, as we sleep. Since he has OBE and not
NDE, he has not experienced the light at the end of the tunnel, or the
"tunnel-like" visual image.
Did you meet or see any other beings?
Yes "They" (the lights, darker or lighter than him -or lighter than his
light) were passing by. Once, three dark lights (like the dark clouds but more
brilliant) were coming toward him. He got so scared because he perceived them as
"bad" and thought that they might take over his physical body. So, in an instant
(thought) he came back to his physical body.
Did you experience a review of past events in your life? No
Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your
experience that could be verified later?
Yes One time, when he was a young man (in his 20s) he had an experience
where he went downstairs and saw his aunt reading a letter that he had not read.
He read the letter and the following day he told his aunt that she had received
a letter and that he knows everything what was in that letter.
Did you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or
dimensions?
Yes Yes, but he is too scared to go too far, so wanders only in the house
and rarely goes out to the street. Also, he "knows" or has the feeling that he
CAN go to another parts of the universe in an instant; but, he is too freaking
scared :) !!!
Did you have any sense of altered space or time?
Uncertain He says everything is the same but his body is different. He is a
light and the way he moves through space or to different places is by just
"thinking" about the place. Also, he can go THROUGH walls, water, etc., just in
a fraction of a second. So, time and space IS altered.
Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose? Uncertain He perceives people as "good" or "bad" in
two ways: (1) by looking at their color (lighter are good, darker are bad), and
by a sense of feeling of -or sensing- their intentions (good or bad) when he
first looks at them, passing by, or coming toward him.
Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure? Yes Yes, he could cross walls and go at incredible speeds,
where ever he thought (wanted) of going.
Did you become aware of future events?
Uncertain
I knew some things were going to happen and they happened later in
real life.
Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the
experience you did not have prior to the experience? Uncertain No, but my husband has special qualities that
most people do not have.
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes Yes, my husband has told me his experiences during all the years of
marriage (18 years), and I believe him because I noted his movements when he
starts having a "journey." I also believe him because he is an honest man with
me, and we are uncommonly close to each other. I say "uncommonly" because I have
never seen any couple so close to each other than us. We like each other company
and we go together (98%) everywhere, but to work.
Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your
experience?
Uncertain What he (my husband) has/had are called, O.B.E. (Out of
Body Experience) and never had a NDE; thus this question should be answered as
NO, supposedly. So, I know he is not lying about this and he is consistent in
the content and the experience, without changing his descriptions.
How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it
happened:
Experience was definitely real He insisted, after I asked him more than once
this same question, that "everything is the same, as real as real life" but in a
different body (as light).
Were there one
or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to
you? I think
each of these experiences has had an impact on him, enhancing his spiritual
beliefs and becoming more interested each time in the non-physical influence (of
constructive thoughts) over the physical realm.
How do you currently view the reality of your experience: Experience was definitely real He says that the
reality during the "journey" is as real as the one he experiences when totally
awaken during day.
Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your
experience?
Uncertain
Under my personal perception (as his wife and not the "protagonist" of the
experience), I think he has becoming extremely closer to me as years passed. He
has become even more conscious about my needs in all aspects of my life, and
those of the kids. He is very caring and consciouss about everything, compared
to his life in the past that was more emphasized with lack of: responsibility,
awareness of other's suffering or pain, etc.
Have your religious beliefs/practices changed specifically as a
result of your experience?
No
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Is there
anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?
I, as a external
observer (his wife), wanted to say that everywhere we have touched this topic,
we have encountered only a few people being able to have these experiences, and
what have been even more interesting, is that these experiences have been way
much less often in other experiencers than in my husband.
Did
the questions asked and information you provided so far accurately and
comprehensively describe your experience?
Yes It's important to clearly state two things. One, the experiences are not
NDE but OBE (Out of Body Experience), and are not related to any specific event
but it is an ongoing experience. Two, the accounts have been described not by
the experiencer but by his wife who have not experienced OBE.
Are
there any other questions we could ask to help you communicate your experience?
I think that a NDE may or may not have an OBE, but an OBE does not necessarily
have a NDE. In my personal case, additional to that of my husband, I only
experienced one time an OBE and it was the result of an accident.
