Experience description:

My first OBE was when I was 19. My grandfather died. That evening I had an OBE where I met my Grandfather in a park. We were face to face & he was telling me that I shouldn't worry because he still existed & I could visit him anytime I wanted. He told me that he would wait for my Grandmother until he went to his final destination. I would meet him twice a week for 9 years.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           I was in bed but awake.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No, I saw color & it is more vivid than dreams.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes

I am still me just somewhat transparent.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Confusion. I wasn't sure how I got there.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           No

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?    Yes

I recognized a heaven like place and a definite Hell.

Did you see a light?           No

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes

At first only people I had known who had died.

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? Yes

I had always attempted to visit my Grandparents.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes

On Sept 9th 2001, I was visited by hundreds of spirits all talking at the same time, asking me to warn their loved ones that something terrible was going to happen, There were too many & I couldn't make out what they were saying. I didn't realize what it had meant until 2 days later 9/11/01.

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          Uncertain

Touch seemed to be the only major change. I could not touch my relatives.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes

I felt as if time didn't exist.

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       Yes

Sometimes I was aware of the return, other times I didn't remember.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes

I know we all exist even after we die.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       Has not affected anything.

I have told my Wife & Mother & they both believe & wish they could have a OBE.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  relief, Joy & Love.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Best part is being able to contact dead relatives. Worst part are strange spirits who need help.
