Diana N's Experience

Experience description:
I
have had something happen to me last year that is even hard for me to believe to
this day, however it did happen, it is true, and WAS NOT a prank or joke played
on me. I have only told few people about this . It was a summer afternoon. I was
in the kitchen making my kids lunch. My daughter was in the living room with my
younger son watching cartoons and my older son was in his bedroom playing video
games. When you walk out of my kitchen, you pass through the hallway to the
living room. As I was walking out of the kitchen to bring the lunch I made into
the living room...my older son was walking up the hallway and we both stopped to
not bump into one another. I then continued on to the living room to the younger
two to give them their lunch. (which took all of 5 seconds) I turned back to go
into the kitchen ..as I did I told my older son lunch was ready assuming he
would still be in the kitchen. He wasn't there.
At
this point I thought it was odd he wasn't there since he had just walked in
seconds before...but no big deal. He must have (very quickly) left the room. I
walked down the hall into his room and he was in bed with his blanket covering
his legs ..half laying down with his arms propped up on his pillows. I noticed
that was the same position he had been in when I had last checked on him (which
was right before I started lunch) So at this point I still thought nothing of
it. I asked him why he left the kitchen so quickly because his food was ready.
He looked at me weird and told me he hadn't been in the kitchen. ( my son is 13
yrs old...like any 13 year old he jokes around... but after our talk and even to
this day...even he is freaked out by this) I started to laugh and just dismiss
him and say, okay... whatever... well come on. ..your food is ready... turn off
the game. He starts to question me as he gets up ...asking me why I said he was
in the other room when he wasn't and so forth. As he got up I notice that he's
wearing a black t-shirt and shorts. When I saw him walk up the hall he had on an
orange shirt .
I
know from my son's reaction that it was not him who I nearly bumped into only
minutes before. It was less than a minute from when I saw him walking to the
time I was in his room. Our hallway is pretty long and we have all natural
hardwood floors. I would have heard him running (and he would have had to run to
get back so quickly) and change his shirt on top of it. I even looked around his
room for an orange shirt. ..and then around the house. I only found a few orange
t-shirts hanging up in his closet that had prints on them that I knew weren't
what I had seen. I asked my daughter if she had seen us almost bump into each
other and notice him at all ..she saw him as well. I know a lot of you will
think he played a joke on me and I'm just gullible or something. ..but I assure
you I'm not gullible at all and I KNOW he didn't do this as a joke. We bought
our home and moved in a year and a half ago.
This
happened about 6 to 7 months after we moved in. Nothing happened before this and
nothing (like this) has happened since. Also I sure as hell wouldn't have wasted
my time writing this on here if I thought it was a joke played on me. I know
spirits are known to mimic people we know and are close too. I've heard it most
referenced to poltergeists or doppelgangers. (although I don't feel doppelganger
fits this because in most cases that I have read, they are known to mimic
exactly what the person is doing and that's not what happened in my situation.)
Why a spirit would want to pose as my son and walk up the hall right as I am
walking through? I don't know. It never said anything. It never gave me any
reason to think anything was odd. When we paused in the hall not to collide we
had eye contact and that was it...no words spoken...I gave him a little smile
and continued on into the other room. Besides the things that have happened to
me since my grandma has passed away in Feb.... I have only had a few things
happen in my house since this happened with my son.... and they can easily be
debunked considering it was electrical. And since my daughter saw him just as I
had, I rule out being crazy. So that's it. If you feel my son played a joke on
me that's fine. I know that what I saw in my hallway and what I almost bumped
into wasn't him... I won't spend my time trying to convince anyone otherwise.
