I was
attending a Quaker conference on Industrial Relations. During Meeting for
Worship the leader, George, shared his
belief that Quakers alone held a vital place in the battle against moral
degeneration, arising form the dynamic tension between Corporate and Personal

Activism, and saw it as akin to the hairspring movement of a clockwork watch. I
suddenly became aware that I was looking down on the assembly from above, and my
attention was drawn to one person in the assembly as being of special
significance. I looked down and discovered to my amazement that it was my
physical self.
