Derick P's Experience
|
Experience description:
A few years ago I had what seemed similar NDE like event. I was
dreaming, what I
dont remember, and in the middle of the dream it just faded away.
I then found myself
floating in this multi-blue space with a large bright white ball of light. It
was just me and this Light. It seemed as though it were the sun and I was in
orbit around it. I decided to test this to see if I was dreaming still. I turned
my head to the right to see if it would follow my gaze and it stayed fixed in
place. I found it all very curious. I even thought to myself that the bedroom
ceiling light was on but that didnt make sense because it just didnt fit. The
ceiling light had several bulbs and I would have been blinded other wise if it
suddenly turned on. Now I had no fear but I didnt feel any overwhelming since
of love but no rejection either. I never tried to go into the light. I was quite
comfortable and peaceful just floating there. It was nice just me and the light.
The only thought that came to me was This is where all dreams flow. This
thought was not mine though and seemed to be told to me. I was not aware of
another presence at the time. I know it did not come from me or the Light. I
floated there a little longer then I opened my eyes.
I do want to experience this again to go deeper into it but it hasnt yet. I
think about this experience a lot and its one of the reasons I searched out this
site.
Was
the kind of experience difficult to express in words?
Uncertain It was just strange. I keep trying to figure out what I was
seeing. I thought I was seeing the sun or the moon or even the ceiling light.
This was not normal behavior in my dreams. It was like I was dreaming; the dream
went away and I was there with the Light.
At
the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?
No
At
what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness
and alertness?
During the event
How
did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience
compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?
Normal consciousness and alertness
During the event
Did
your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect,
such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of
solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?
Uncertain My eyesight is very poor and I need a very strong prescription in
order to see. Every thing was very clear even the multi-blue space. I could see
the different hues of blue. I find my self searching out the colors in the
waking world.
Did
your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any
aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness,
etc.)?
Uncertain There seemed to be no sound. Just the "sound of my
thoughts" in my head.
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
No
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
A little confusion at first but changing quickly to curiosity then to
peacefulness and comfort.
Did
you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?
No
Did
you see a light?
Yes The Light was large and reminded me of the Sun or the Moon. It was very
white kind of like a florescent white.
Did
you meet or see any other beings?
Uncertain At the time of the experience I was not aware of anyone or
anything else but the Light and myself. Though the thought that came to me
seemed to be of a different source. I only really figured this out while writing
this event down.
Did
you experience a review of past events in your life?
No
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
No
Did
you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or
dimensions?
Uncertain The space I was in was differently a different space.
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
No
Did
you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?
Uncertain Just the thought "This is where all dreams flow". I have
kinda always felt I had a purpose but this is probably tied to an earlier event.
Did
you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?
Uncertain I kind of feel there was something beyond the blue space. The
space is kinda hard to describe. I feel I was in a space as in something like a
room or void. I diffidently feel it had a boundary. But the thought of trying to
go further then where I was never crossed my mind.
Did
you become aware of future events?
No
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
you did not have prior to the experience?
Uncertain I have always had strange things happen to me. Mostly the ability
to see ghosts sometimes. Sometimes it seems I can tell what people are thinking
but I think this is just being able to read body language. I even had an OBE
once as a little kid.
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes I told my partner the next day. He is more convinced it was just a
dream. I have told a few people and they usually say I have weird dreams. I told
one lady at a spiritual book store and she seems quite in awe but freaked out a
little when I said I turned my head. She seemed relieved when I said the Light
was never out of my field of vision.
Did
you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?
Yes I have read many books on NDEs but I hadn't really read anything in a
while and really don't think that it had anything to do with it.
How
did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it
happened:
Experience was probably real I am torn really between of the reality of the
experience. I do believe it was real but the fact it happened during sleep could
mean it was all just a dream. I can still see it in my minds eye. I have a habit
of looking at things from an objective point of view. I try hard not to change
things in events in my life and if it is kinda fuzzy I will say so.
Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or
significant to you?
How
do you currently view the reality of your experience:
