EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
It was
after lunch, around 1:30 pm. I had a short free moment before restart of class.
I sat down on the floor in my room. I felt strange, as if my mind was empty, and
open towards a void. Then suddenly a swirling ball of fire appeared high up
(much higher, beyond the ceiling of the room, as I saw it through the ceiling
swooping down towards me like a lightning flash). At the moment when I saw it,
my whole being, my body, my heart and my mind, were attracted as if by a magnet
towards this swirling incandescent ball, that was swooping down on me. While
perceiving it, I instantly was standing up (I was sitting on the ground) with
one move. I felt so much attracted, that the motion to stand up was very
brusque, as if I was lighter, like being snatched upward, towards this ball of
fire. 2 to 3 seconds after seeing this ball coming from up high towards me, I
was standing, at the very moment when this 'ball' reached my height. When this
ball came upon me I was immersed in a parallel world. Visually this world
consisted only of a soft, warm, illuminated atmosphere. A light that makes me
think about the flame of a candle, golden. Or also when the sun is rising upon a
slight haze, which is creating a soft warm atmosphere, sparkling like fire. In
short. Of this 'dimension' was emanating a plenitude and an unwavering serenity.
Questions came into my mind, but I didn't have time to really become aware of
them, and even less to formulate them, as they immediately seemed vain to me,
and it seemed to me that I knew the answer (but not really), as in a world where
there are only answers, no questions, answers are of no use. The plenitude of
this place annihilated all questions or at least made me understand their futile
nature.... But strangely, while my mind was in this state of consciousness, it
was also aware of the 'me' in my room. I was aware of my arms vaguely lifted up
(unconsciously I had felt like the need to welcome this ball and had lifted them
vaguely) but oddly, I had sensed myself extremely light while I was attracted,
so light that physically I didn't feel no weight anymore, while I still kept
moving in the room. This bothered me and also intrigued me, in fact I was scared
of falling, as I didn't control my body anymore and I did the worst. I wanted to
look at my feet, and at that moment I realized that I had made the biggest error
of my life, as everything stopped. I immediately was enormously angry at myself.
I was quite shaken up by this experience, but positively of course. This only
took about 15 or 20 seconds. Subsequently (during the following year) I had 2
other experiences, also surprising but very different, of which one concerned
the resurrection of a butterfly...
At the
time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?
No
Was the
experience difficult to express in words?
Yes
It's like explaining colors to a blind person, and then the experience wasn't
happening recently, altered memories.
At what time during the experience were you at your highest
level of
consciousness and alertness?
All the time
How did
your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare
to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?
More
consciousness and alertness than normal
The experience brought with it a
different consciousness that I could qualify as being superior, even though
without elements of superiority.
Please
compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had
immediately prior to the time of the experience.
I didn't truly see with my eyes, I was taken into another state of
consciousness, that I had no time to really apprehend by the way.

What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
Plenitude, serenity
Did you
pass into or through a tunnel?
No

see an unearthly light?
Yes
The light was the world. Golden, soft, shimmering. I wouldn't say like a mist of
golden light, as mist has usually a closing effect, while this condensation of
light seemed infinite. There was nothing else, even not me. I was taken into
this consciousness as if it was just shown to me, like getting a 'taste' of it.
This light was very soft, like gold particles.
Did you
seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?
I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly
origin
I can't be categorical with this question, 'this light was it a 'universal'
presence?'
