Experience description:   

On one of those nights after working until 10 p.m. I took as usual the elevator to get to my car. As I was exiting the elevator I was thinking: if something happened to me here, my mother and my family would not even know what happened to me and where I am. I felt nervous. Suddenly I heard the following: do not fear I am with you. It was a strong voice within me, I can not explain, it appeared as mail voice but I am not shore. At the same moment I heard this voice, the whole parking area became illuminated with light, not a light that I can explain, but from hundreds of cars I saw my car in an instant. In the past I had to look for my car for a while, but not this time. A total peace overcame me, I can not explain, all the fear was gone, I felt comfort and peace within me.

I was reluctant to share this experience until now. However I just lost my mother in September of 2012 after taking care of her for eight years. I was extremely close to my mother, and I miss her. However somehow I have an inner feeling that only her body is not here. I can not explain but there is an inner peace within me. Also I know that there is a lot for me to do, complete and finish things that I had put aside for so many years.

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   Uncertain  Parking for employees of this upscale mall was on the top floor of the parking structure with no security guards. On days where I had to work until 10p.m. I felt nervous due to large parking area, late night, and no security guards.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  Yes     the voice within me was strong and powerful, yet I don't know if it was English or any other language. How do you explain this to someone?

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    after hearing the voice and when the parking are was illuminated with light.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal   it is an experience that is difficult to explain. From being nervous to calm and collected all within split second. The light, night became day and yet not the same day light as we know. Comfort and peace, oh how good it felt.

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   I never had since such a vision. However from that day on I lost the fear when working late. Also I have now strong fillings prior to something major happening, and did or was able to prevent tragedies to me or my mother or people that I care for.

It is almost as I got an extra sense. I had this extra sense as a child and than lost it only to find it later on.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   It was a voice within me unlike when someone is talking to you. I can not explain this.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   No  

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   calm, peace, comfort, confidence.  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No  

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   Night became day, but not the same day light as we know.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I heard a voice I could not identify
voice was within me, strong, comforting

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (�life after death�)?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   This voice was a special voice, and it was not in my head or ears it was somehow within me, the total peace and comfort. It is a voice of a father of a mother, of a supreme being. I felt afterwards honored to have been spoken to. I go to church from time to time, but believe that there is only one God for all.

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   religion and science are right and wrong at times. There is a lot more that either one can explain.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   this experience will be with me for the rest of my life, and I am very fortunate to have had one.

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   Well I had put this experience aside for a long time, I wish I would not have. All the anger, worries  and wrong turns in life could have been avoided only if I could have stopped for a moment and remembered that day.

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   Uncertain   values and beliefs did not change, but having put the experience aside my day to day life would have been different if I held this experience in front of me.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   Yes   Somehow I can see or predict of something happening, but as I said as a child I had that, and than it got lost and it came back.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?     I am fortunate to have had such an experience. Meaning of life and death is put in to a different perspective.

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  Only in the last few years.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   No  

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   From that day on I was no longer nervous on days when I worked late in getting to my car.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real   as real as I am writing this down. Voice, light and peace, as it all happened yesterday.
