Colin M's Experience
|
Experience description:
As a child
(8-12) I had little OUT-of Body experiences. Mainly
when I had the flu with some fever. When I was almost sleeping, with my eyes
closed, I felt like I was going up and there was nothing I could do about that.
I was not scary but strange. When I opened my eyes I could see myself in my bed,
and I was as high as the ceiling. I do not remember how I got back, but the
feeling of being out of my body faded away and I was back in my body.
Because of
that I was awake again with mixed feelings. I thought it was wonderful, I didn't
knew what it was or what happened. I was
disappointed it stopped, but on the other hand I was glad I was back. It gave me
such a strange feeling the day after, that I was wondering if it was a dream or
not. Later on
when I was around the age of 15, I saw a documentary about this on TV. I was
starring at the TV! This was something I had experienced when I was a child!!
From that moment I knew it was not dreams. I'm still
interested in this subject. Years ago I went to the library, were I found books
about this. Now I'm at a stage that I want to try it again to have OUT-of body
experiences. That's how I located your site. Any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience: No Was the
experience difficult to express in words?
No At the
time of the experience, was there an associated life threatening event?
No What was
your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?
It was a kind of twilight zone Was the
experience dream like in any way?
In a way yes, but on the other hand it was to real to be a dream. Did you
experience a separation of consciousness from your body?
