Experience description:

Before the age of 5 years old I always felt as though I was special, as though

God was watching over me. I also loved and was very in touch with nature.  I was an extremely happy child.  I also felt that I was one of God's chosen ones.  Before the age of 5 years old I always felt as though I wanted to float or fly in the sky.  Like Icarus I looked for feathers to try to make some wings, but couldn't find many.  I then decided that I would try to make myself float on my own.  I sat on the floor cross-legged, closed my eyes and started to meditate, until I could no longer feel my body mass. From complete darkness there was a dot of light, then all of a sudden the whole area was filled with a room of bright light.  I still had my eyes closed.  All of a sudden I felt as though I was floating in this room.  It was the most liberating feeling ever to be free floating about.  I was aware that there was someone else in the room, but didn't know who.  I was also aware that I had a physical body that I was separate from, but also connected to.  My senses were telling me to hurry and return to my body before it was too late, otherwise I might not be able to get back to it.  Even though I loved my experience, it made me scared too, as I knew that I had stepped over to the spirit world, and might not have been able to come back to the physical one if I had left it much longer. I have also been able to levitate.  Because I am a spiritual person, I have had other psychic experiences, feelings and premonitions. I also believe that our souls carry on living and believe in reincarnation.

 Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?     No      

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? No      

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No      

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           As described above.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No, it was total reality.

 Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes     Body and soul were connected then disconnected and then reconnected again.  I was very well aware of that fact.  The light was the spiritual world my soul was visiting and the darkness was when the soul reconnected back to my body.

 What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Happiness that I could escape my body to float and be free.  Also greater enlightenment at being able to use my sixth sense - the psychic and spiritual sense, and to being able to transcend worlds.

 Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           A voice of spiritual consciousness telling me to hurry and go back, before it was too late, and that I was still too young to be there now.

 LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?            Yes     I knew that I was on another plane - an astral one.

 Did you see a light?           Yes     A bright all encompassing light, surrounding me.

 Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes     Could see a figure of a man below me.

 Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? Yes    

Yes.  I wanted to float in another plane, the object of which I had achieved.  I just knew it would happen.  Also achieved levitation which happened in the same event after I came back to my body.

 Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes     I knew that there was a man below me in the light.

 Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          Yes     I could synch all my senses. I was very aware of how my body was gradually feeling lighter and lighter until I was in the light and could feel it any more. I could see and hear and feel what was around me.

 Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes     It was altered space.  I wasn't in this world, even though I was aware I could go back to it.  The man in the light was really there.  I didn't get a feeling of time.

 Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes     I have always had a sense of knowing, as though I was one of God's chosen ones.  I have always felt different from everyone.  I have psychic ability and premonition of what will happen or when someone will die. I have had d�j� vu that I have been to certain places before this life and that I have lived another life before.  I have also felt the presence of people that died and have heard a lot of voices in conversation above my head in an empty room. I can't quite hear what they are talking about as their voices fade away. I think that I am descended from the family of Mary and Jesus.  I have always felt this.  I have always felt that I came from a noble family of kings and knights.  After doing recent genealogy research myself, I think both feelings could be completely true.

 Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             Yes     The boundary was that I had reached the line of life or death and I had to choose.

 Did you become aware of future events?       Yes     Yes, as described above.

 Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       Yes     Yes, I was warned to return before it was too late.

 Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         Yes     Yes, I always felt different, as though I wanted to push the boundaries of what I could do.  I have felt in tune with God, Nature, Sun, Moon, Stars and Atmosphere. I have always had my sixth sense - my psychic sense, my knowing and feeling and predicting sense, my guiding sense.

 Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     Yes, it confirmed my belief that I could do what was out of the realms of this world.  It has confirmed that we all have a soul that lives on after we die, and that we have lived other lives.

 How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I have a strong belief in the faith of God.  I don't attend church as they don't have a church of my faith near me.  I also have pagan beliefs in that the planets and our surroundings are all in tune with, and affect each other. These also forewarn and predict for us. I respect nature and my surroundings.  I pay attention to my intuition an instict.  It rules my life.

 Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes     Yes.  I am spiritual and believe also that God is by side.  I also pray to an Icon every day.

 Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     Husband.  He thinks I am either a nutter or mad.

 What emotions did you experience following your experience?  Contentment.

 What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Best part was reaching a level of spiritual being.  The worst part was that I could have died.

 Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        Yes, I have had equally out of body dream experiences concerning churches with one dream experience of being in a place where people have died that had an atmosphere that was dark, which I didn't like the feeling and eeriness of.  There was a caretaker man whose piecing blue eyes scared me.  This place of darkness I didn't like.  It was like midnight blue light with moonlight. I was not in this world again and couldn't wait to get back.
