Experience description:

I was extremely tired and went to bed at 8PM.  I dreamed that I was in a pregnant woman's uterus and I could see the baby.  The cord was wrapped around the baby's neck.  I flew out of the uterus into a nearby doctor's head.  I screamed at him, 'Do a C-Section! The baby is going to die!  Do a C-section!'  Then I suddenly woke up.  I was shaken and upset by the dream.  I looked at the clock.  It was around midnight.  My husband is a night owl and was still awake.  I told him about the dream, got up, drank water and then went back to bed.  At about 5 AM my dear friend's husband phoned and woke us up.  She had given birth around midnight.  It was an emergency C-section.  The cord was wrapped around the baby's neck and they both almost died.  At visiting hours we went to the hospital, where my friend was in bed and her husband was walking around the room carrying the baby.  I told them about my dream.  They were already a bit distressed, for obvious reasons and the baby cried continuously. Neither parent could console him. However, when I held him he suddenly stopped crying. When anyone else held him he cried and cried.  At that point I was an experienced mother, so already had lots of experience comfortably holding babies, whereas my friends were newbies. My husband was also an experienced parent, but the baby cried in his arms also.  He would only stop when I held him.
