Bobby R's Experience
|
Experience description:
It started as a feeling of floating inside my house. Then I could see myself
sleeping. This scared me and I would try to wake myself up, but couldn't. I
would try to holler at myself and make noise to wake up, but couldn't make a
sound. I would just be floating above myself as I was sleeping. I could see
myself lying there, but couldn't move, speak, or arouse my sleeping body in any
way. Any

experience difficult to express in words?

only with my doctor as stated above. I fear regular people would think I'm nuts. What
emotions did you experience following your experience?
scared to go to sleep Is there
anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?
As I said earlier, it scares me, but at the same I would like to discuss this
with someone that knows about all this stuff. Someone that could answer some
questions. Then I would consider trying to go farther into this. Has your
life changed specifically as a result of your experience?
No Following
the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or
substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Then on the 4th time of this, I saw myself lying there asleep, but a Black Cat (
large for a domestic cat, but not overly large) was sitting on my chest biting
me on the face and head. This really scared me and I discussed this with my
Doctor the next day. He was quite impressed and told me how he had tried
unsuccessfully for years to induce an OBE himself and gave me a brief overview
of the process. I told him it spooked me too much and I thought I was going
crazy. He said not to be afraid of it, but to welcome it. I told him I just
wanted it to stop. He suggested sleeping with the light on and the tv or radio
playing so it wouldn't be so quite and dark.
This worked for a couple of years, but when I would forget about it and be least
expecting it, I would have another bout of "floating" around my house. This has
continued off and on ever since. Sometimes, I will just be looking down on
myself, and a couple of times, I would go into the living room and see my dog
sleeping in her spot on the couch. She would continue to sleep, not moving or
looking up. I have been to every room in the house, never walking, always
"floating" but have never left the house. I am primarily spooked by this, but
curious at the same time. I have tried yelling out, moving my physical body,
turning over, etc. but haven't been able to wake up, move, or utter a sound.
