Amy R's Experience
|
Experience description:
The event
happened on Saturday, June 19, 2004 while I was at work in the hospital. It was
early morning and I was still not fully awake. There were two other women in
the office with me. The office was small but we each had our own areas to
retreat to. I was sitting behind a cubicle going to try to finish reading a
book. The room was quiet and the air conditioning was running. I was only 16
pages into the book when I heard this low repetitive whirling sound, thinking it
might just be the air conditioning I brushed it off went back to reading my
book. The sound did not diminish, so I walked around the corner and asked my
co-workers if they heard the noise, they both said that they heard nothing. I
go back to sitting in the chair and I hear the sound again but this time louder
and getting faster. I looked over the cubicle thinking perhaps the ladies were
playing a trick on me both of them were quiet and reading magazines. I sat in
the chair and as I started to read the first line of the 17th page, I started to
hear the whirling sound again this time even louder and the repetitiveness
increasingly fast.
I saw what I
can only describe as television static and then I started to see the colored
outlines/silhouettes of a field of people their faces were hazy and distorted.
I felt their emotions. They were excited, nervous, impatient, and had not one
feeling of danger. I saw mountains in the background, soldiers dressed in
fatigues standing, a huge open area with a runway, and a white plane taking
off. My breathing stayed steady the entire time. After seeing the plane
everything went away.
Once the static
was gone it was exactly 10am on the pc clock. I wrote down on a piece of paper
next to me what I saw and even the time frame as I regret never looking down at
the pc clock to see when this started. That same day I showed my boyfriend the
piece of paper and described what I saw to him. He had no answer for me he just
said wow. Early Monday morning, June 21st, around 830-40am I told my mother
about what I experienced and let her read the paper I wrote on (which I still
have and will keep for my entire life) she looked at me and said I wonder if
this has anything to do with the contest going on, I looked at her with a
puzzled look. She explained about the X-prize contest which was to see if a
privately manned vehicle could go beyond the Earths atmosphere. I had no prior
knowledge about this contest. My mom suggested that we should watch it as it
was going to be televised. I remember sitting on her bed at the tv went live to
the Mojave Dessert airport I could not believe what I was seeing the exact same
thing I had experienced two days earlier in the same time frame. I was shocked
and I cried because I was confused. Why was I allowed to see this two days
before and now I see it live? What was the purpose? Was there even a purpose?
Did you have
any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you
did not have prior to the experience?
Yes I have had psychic experiences since I was young girl. But nothing to
this extent. In the past two years, I have become a more spiritual person.
Any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Was
the kind of experience difficult to express in words?
Yes It was
hard to place into words because it was like nothing I had ever seen pr
experienced. I saw colored outlines/silhouettes of countless people they were
all standing and waiting
At
the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening
event?
No
What
was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?
Read
#4
Was the
experience dream like in any way?
Not at all. I
was fully awake, alert, and even at work when I experienced this
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
Uncertain I can not be one hundred percent either way, so I choose uncertain
due to the nature of the experience.
What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
No feeling of
fright, more of confusion, nervousness, impatience, and excitement.
Did
you hear any unusual sounds or noises?
Yes, a
repetitive whirling sound. Upon hearing it and noticing that two other people
in the same office as me did not hear it I felt nervous.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION:
Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar
religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or
amazing creatures?
No
Did
you see a light?
Uncertain
Did
you meet or see any other beings?
Yes I saw a
whole field full of people. They were in a large field in the dessert with
mountains in the background. No words were communicated.
Did
you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?
Uncertain
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
Yes What I
experienced happened two days before the actual same event occurred.
Did
you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they
different?
Uncertain I
was in an observation mode. I listened to the sounds, and felt the emotions of
the people, and saw the settings. No smells that I can remember. The sight was
different because it was nothing like viewing right here and now. It was static
scattered snow and then colored outlines of the silhouettes of hundreds of
people.
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
Yes
Did
you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose?
Uncertain
Did
you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?
Uncertain
Did
you become aware of future events?
Yes Too
accurate for my own good. For a few days afterwards I was still in shock and
confused. I cried for a little while and I am sure that seems silly, but that
was the only way I knew how to express what I was going through.
Were
you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the
body?
No
Have
you shared this experience with others?
Yes My
boyfriend, and my mother. I know my boyfriend was not influenced in any way by
my experience. I think that my mom might believe in the phenomena of psychic
ability.
What
emotions did you experience following your experience?
Shock,
disbelief, scared, nervous, and excited.
What
was the best and worst part of your experience?
Not
understanding just what the heck was happening! Seeing it happen on tv
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No response
I am not quite sure I understand the question the way it is worded. Perhaps
re-wording this question would do a world of good. I have experienced many
other things in my life, none of which were produced nor reproduced with
substances or medications.
Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this
questionnaire.
You should have
this question (which I think #28 was implying but ever so subtly) Have you had
any prior experiences while taking medication or substances? Please explain and
describe the substance/medication.
