Amy's Experience
|
Experience description: It was late at night, and i was laying in my bed, on my back with my arms to my side. I just finished praying to god because i was not sure if he existed or not because i was trying to cross over from atheism. I was really emotional, i was stuck on the thoughts of what i had just prayed about. I was waiting for something to happen. because i had just asked him to prove to me that he existed. then all of a sudden, I saw dim light around me, it wasn't coming from any particular source, it was sort of like a fog. there was shimmering star-like bright lights all around, similar to the lights people see when they get knocked out. then all of a sudden I felt
like i was being lifted into the air i didn't feel like i was my whole self, I felt like it was just my soul. I felt like i was floating about 3 inches from my body, it felt like i was on top of myself. I felt extreme weightlessness, like i weighed nothing. I felt I had an adrenalin rush like i was free falling, like i was on a roller coaster. I felt like i couldn't move or breathe, but i didn't need to breathe. I floating there between 6-7 seconds. I was really really scared. Then i was gently put back down into my body. I felt like god reached down and lifted my soul out of me, then put it back into me. Although i was peaceful when it was happening, even though I felt it was intended to be a peaceful experience, I was not peaceful when it ended. I was in shock, fear and amazement.
